Why does bush have to convince us that there are terrorists....
Haven't we known this for years? Bush keeps coming out with speeches to try to convince everyone so why are his poll numbers going down, down, down.

1. fear, scare, terra, terra, terra...it's the only thing they've got
and it AIN'T working any more. They've beaten this horse to the ground, and finally, hopefully, people are waking up to the fact that they have been manipulated.

3. His demagoguery isn't as effective as it once was.
First, he ranted on terrorists. Then he demonized a third world tinpot dictator and tried to convince us that America was in danger from him. Now he's demonizing Iran's leadership. Fooled me once shame on you.

Unfortunately for the propaganda machine, the Soviet Union is dead and there is no real enemy for the one minute hate. Gotta fake it and hope for the best.

4. It's beyond overkill at this point. Is anyone still listening?
Even the cowards who are shaking in their boots all the time, worrying about terrorists, must be weary of the war-chimp's hysterics.

5. He's got to try to confuse the moran Repukes just enough...
... that they forget that Al Qaeda is only responsible for about 5% of the action in Iraq and that most of the action over there isn't about terrorism but a political war between Sunni and Shia factions.

6. They haven't eliminated Social Security yet. After that they will
declare the war on terror won.
