2. Gave him fifty bucks last night!
I don't live in Virginia but there are few politicians that I dislike more than George-a.k.a "Felix";- Allen. They guy gives new meaning to the word "smarmy". The last thing we need for this country is another republican airhead in the presidency.

I did my small part for Webb.

13. Well....
You can spin his quitting all you want, 6 ways from Sunday if you like. I'd like someone with a bit more principle in his back bone, personally, but you go right ahead.

17. OK, this is really the last kick....
Today's the deadline for our "Contest Every County" fundraising challenge. Thanks to your support, we're already raised over $85,000 of our $100,000 goal.

But in these final 10 hours, I need you to put us over the top -- and, in the process, send a message to Virginians that Jim Webb's campaign will have the funds it needs to win in November.

Please contribute $1000, $100, $10, or whatever you can afford before tonight's midnight deadline!

http://www.webbforsenate.com/contribute

This campaign is a campaign of contrasts. While Jim Webb was fighting for his country in Vietnam, George Felix Allen was galloping around a dude ranch in the middle of Nevada.

Now, while Jim Webb is campaigning across Virginia in his son's combat boots, George Allen's counterfeit California cowboy act is hoping to avoid stepping his boots in the mess he and his buddy George W. Bush have made of our foreign and domestic policy.

And while Jim Webb is fighting for our soldiers, pushing for the passage of a new GI Bill, George Allen refuses to co-sponsor the new GI Bill because, in his words, the Senate moves at the pace of a "wounded sea slug."

Well, Virginians are tired of Senator Dude Ranch's act. And, come November, he's gonna have a lot more free time to work on his calf roping.

But we need your financial support to make that happen!

http://www.webbforsenate.com/contribute

Senator Allen, don't tell Virginians you have no time to sponsor Jim Webb's GI Bill, while you gleefully sponsor and help pass the bill to make July 22nd "American Cowboy Day."

Don't tell Virginians you needed to give yourself a $32,000 raise in the Senate, while you have voted four times against raising the minimum wage for working Americans from its dismal $5.15 an hour.

Don't tell Virginians you can't do anything about high gas prices, while you receive over $800,000 in campaign contributions from big oil and energy companies and, in return, deliver them billions in tax subsidies even while they're raking in record profits.

Provide us the funds we need to tell every voter in every county in Virginia that it's time to send George Allen out to pasture on his dude ranch. Help us reach our $100,000 goal by midnight tonight!

http://www.webbforsenate.com/contribute

Remember, your contributions for this fundraising drive go directly to ramping up our field program:

$2000 will pay for one field organizer's monthly salary
$1000 will pay for one month's rent for a field office
$500 will pay for a computer for a field staffer
$100 will pay for 50 yard signs
$50 will pay for 100 bumper stickers for our supporters
http://www.webbforsenate.com/contribute

It's time for Virginia to have a leader like Jim Webb in the Senate. We're going to win by reaching voters one by one. We have the energy, we have the ground troops, and -- if we have the resources -- come November, we'll have George Allen wondering, "Dude, where's my Senate seat?"

Sincerely,

Steve Jarding
Webb for Senate

P.S. We only need $15,000 more to reach our "Contest Every County" fundraising goal. Your donation could well put us over the top. Please contribute now -- before tonight's midnight deadline!

Again, thanks DU, less than 10 hours to go :hi:
