***Tell CA Democrats to stop supporting TX Republicans

As a former Texan, I know how hard it is for Democrats in the Lone Star State. Unfortunately, some Democrats are making it even harder.

The The Patrick Henry Democratic Club in Santa Ana, CA is currently using its website (http://patrickhenrythinktank.org )to raise money for Congressman Ron Paul, despite the fact that Paul has a Democratic opponent, Shane Sklar:

WHO NEEDS AND DESERVES YOUR MONEY

Thank Dennis Kucinich, Jim McDermott, Ron Paul and Pete Stark for being the only consistent votes against the rush to war with Iran. To those who don't know, in February, the House voted overwhelmingly for a resolution "condemning the Government of Iran for violating its international nuclear nonproliferation obligations and expressing support for efforts to report Iran to the United Nations Security Council." While some others voted "present" and some did not vote, these four had the courage to stand up and be counted against this resolution fast-tracking the next war. In April, another bill looking like a declaration of war with Iran was approved by the House. These four, joined by others, voted against that. Then, in May, these four and others voted against a bill which appears to call for the overthrow of the elected government of Hamas. Pelosi lead the majority of Democrats in voting with the Republicans in support of all three of these bills. We are very proud of Dennis Kucinich, our Congressman of the Year, for leading the opposition to war against Iran and Palestine.

What can you do to fix this problem? Call the Orange County Democratic Party at 714-835-5158 and ask them to apply pressure to this club to stop raising money for Texas Republicans.

3. They don't seem to be very happy

Bush supporters in the Democratic Underground (a known DLC/DINO hangout) have taken offense to Ron Paul, who recently expressed support for the impeachment of George W. Bush and who has a strong history of opposition to war, war funding, USA-PATRIOT, and the disastrous free trade agreements. Certain individuals in the DU (very likely pro-Bush Freepers) want us to lie about Ron Paul’s record and to exclude his name from a list of Congressmen who opposed a resolution that, according to the conscience of the Democratic Party (Dennis Kucinich), placed “the United States on a dangerous path that could lead to war” with Iran. WE REFUSE TO LIE. The members of the PHDC believe that truth is more important than partisan politics and therefore we stand by the truth. We will not lie about Ron Paul’s voting record and we will continue to support the non-partisan call for the impeachment of George W. Bush. We ask all Americans of all parties to join us in supporting truth over lies and in supporting the impeachment of George W. Bush. We continue to call on all members of all parties to join Dennis Kucinich, Jim McDermott, Ron Paul and Pete Stark in their opposition to war with Iran.

4. Is Sklar as antiwar as Ron Paul?

Ron Paul is "Libertarian" firebrand and votes horribly on most things (votes no on almost everything because he's so anti-government) but his steadfast antiwar votes do help a lot.
