"DEMOCRATS ARE TALKERS; REPUBLICANS ARE DOERS"
Last night, at the "President's Dinner," where the Republicans raised over $27 million, President Bush told the assembled crowd, "Democrats are good talkers; Republicans are good doers." Oh, really?

The attached takes a quick look at a comparison of a few key indicators of our national well-being under the eight years of President Clinton and the five and a half years of President Bush. It turns out that Democrats were better "doers" on each of these key indicators.

Republicans are taking America in the wrong direction on key issues facing American families.

LAST NIGHT, PRESIDENT SAID "DEMOCRATS ARE TALKERS; REPUBLICANS ARE DOERS" - OH, REALLY??
Republicans Take Us In the Wrong Direction
Last night, at the "President's Dinner," where the Republicans raised over $27 million, President Bush told the assembled crowd, "Democrats are good talkers; Republicans are good doers." Oh, really? Let's take a quick look at a comparison of a few key indicators of our national well-being under the eight years of President Clinton and the five and a half years of President Bush. 2. This is no different that all the other neocon soundbites...
Their philosophy is, "If we tell the same lie often enough, people will start to believe it's the truth."

These clowns wouldn't know the truth if it came up and bit 'em in the ass.

10. Today on my local Public Radio
John Stossel painted lefties as idiots for believing second hand smoke was a real danger as was global warming. It drew in some Wingnut listeners that continued to listen as one caller attacked the quest on the next hour Calvin Trillin who wrote "A Heckuva Job: More of the Bush Administration in Rhyme." She reiterated the exact same line that all he could do was talk via his poetry and the GOPigs were at least doing something they believe in. She admitted what Rs were doing was wrong but at least they were DOING SOMETHING. Wow, can't argue with that.

5. Can't get a budget hammered out, but time for Terri's Law style meddling
Can't get sensible energy policy passed to reduce dependence on oil and decrease pollution, but they have time to try and build discrimination into the Constitution!

Can't make any progress toward better health care in America, but they can pass laws to snoop on what books you check out of the library!

Can't get food and water to refugees who went to the Superdome as ordered but they can fly a bunch of draft dodging chicken hawks for Iraq for a five hour photo shoot!

Can't find time to discuss long overdue raise in minimum wage but they have time trying to give Paris Hilton and her ilk another HUGE tax cut by the attempt to repeal the Estate Tax and create a Birth Tax for every American regardless of poverty level to make up the difference.

Can't take time to swear in administration officials called to testified, but plenty of time to spend fretting about swearing and nudity on TV.

Can't apply some oversight to an executive branch that flat out says they won't obey laws but they can give themselves a raise!

Those kind of 'doers' we can do without!

9. Well
Georgie must have been his definition of Democrat when it came time to show for National Guard service. And Dickie must have been the same when he took his 5 deferments. Same for Tom Delay when "minorities filled all the volunteer spots in the Army."

OH! And how about when Georgie declared MISSION ACCOMPLISHED? NICE TALKING THERE, BUD!

He needs to realize that acting like Dilbert's Pointy-Haired Boss might technically be 'doing something,' America would be better off if he'd sat on his ass and talked to the wall for the last 5 years.
