Are we better off without these horrid Democrats?
(No offense to the one Joe Lieberman and the one Ben Nelson supporter out there) :hide: ;)

I started thinking about all of this when I read an article today about Lieberman perhaps running as an independent.

And don't even get me started about Ben Nelson who seems to vote with the repukes more times than not!!!

I'm waiting for each of them to start challenging people to a Zell Miller-like duel (Saturday Night Live joke for those of you out of the loop)

1. There's a bunch of new, truly progressive Democrats just waiting...
I think that the old farts need to be put out to pasture and some fresh blood injected into the party.

2. Not if losing them means...
a Republican majority.

3. True, but in the case of Ben Nelson, it seems like every time I turn
around, he's voting with the GOP.

It's so aggravating.....especially his human rights stance

4. Nelson has some of the highest approval ratings in the senate
I am no fan, but I am happy Nebraska even elects democrats.

6. I'm also happy Nebraska "even elects democrats" but that doesn't
make me any less disappointed with Nelson's philosophy and performance.

My point is no better illustrated than when he recently joined the 'pukes in favor of amending the Constitution concerning gay marriage.

Even John McCain (R) of Arizona and John E Sununu (R) of New Hampshire voted against the amendment.

But yea, although I want those two clowns (Lieberman & Nelson) out -- I certainly don't want them replaced by pukes (although sometimes I wonder how it could be worse) ;)

7. I get your point, but Nebraska could easily elect a Santorum type repub
or worse.
