Brownback, R-KS, speaking, saying that if Senators voted the way their states had voted, the vote would be 90-10.

2. Ugh, Jeff Sessions is up
:puke: Is there a more moronic form of life to be found than him?

4. I Can Barely Listen to Sessions
but I was curious as he spoke about the 80% of Alabamans (?) who voted to "preserve" marriage, what percentage of that state voted against blacks becoming equal citizens to whites? Amazing how nobody challenges that moronic statement. Just because the "majority" want something doesn't mean it is good for the country.

6. Did I just hear that Byrd voted aye?
So much for that constitution in his vest pocket he supposedly honors. Too disappointed for words.

7. That was Burr. I do not think Byrd has voted. All Dems, except Ben Nelson

Nebraska, are expected to vote No. It seems that six Republicans have noted No. R's may not even get 50 votes, at this rate.

Make that seven Republicans, but it sounded like Byrd just voted Aye! Dammit! He's up for re-election in a very red, very religious state.

8. Yep, he's up for re-election in my home state
A state that was once one of the most Democratic in the Union, but has lost its way. Times have changed, and not for the better.

They did worse the last vote on this issue in July 2004--when they got 50 votes for cloture and 48 against!
