OMG. CNN reports that Kerry actually speaks French.
Kerry is not my first or second choice, but this is yet another example of how the media whores will try to take us down. "He speaks French!" Reportedly learned it at a Swiss boarding school.

Quelle surprise!

7. He does?
Why didn't he speak it at the Brown and Black forum or the other debate where there were Spanish speakers? I knew Teresa spoke it but figured he didn't.

15. Bilingual debate
Maybe that should be offered as a possibility. * wouldn't have a chance against Kerry...

2. Good for him...
So it seems that most of our candidates can speak more than one language.

Bush can't even speak one.

3. Sacre blue. On the upside, they also spent time talking about Chimpy
being AWOL. So Michael Moore and Clark have brought that
back into the news. And while Kerry deserves no credit for
that, he'll benefit from it.

6. he should brush up on Idjit-speak so he can understand Bush
in the debates. He can give his answers in English, French, and Spanish. I really hate the whoring media. Old Dennis Miller and Russert were brainstorming ways Bush WH can/will take down Kerry on his voting record.

they are feckin' bastards. I want them sent to Guantanamo Bay and set up a whole new group of media folks who aren't on the tak and looking for invites to Washington parties (like Margaret Carlson, the biggest harlot of them all).

9. I had heard that he was fluent, but I saw at a town meeting
where a Quebecois couple tried speaking to him, he just managed to say he was too rusty to speak.

Of course, he could be perfectly fluent and just calculating it wouldn't be a good thing to show off right now.

16. Quebecois French is a bit different -
than the French you'd learn in a Swiss boarding school.

A lot of my schoolmates learned European French, but an occasional teacher with a French-Canadian lineage could accurately show both dialects in class.

11. I should have put this in the first post or made it more apparent...
What beef does the media have with an educated candidate? It sure beats the dumb fuk resident we have there now.

13. Kerry is fluent in French,
Teresa's fluent in five languages, she's brilliant and damn good looking, I'd be proud to see her as first lady.
I said I wouldn't vote for him because of his vote on the war, but I will do anything to get rid of Bush.:hi:

19. I believe GHWB is also fluent in French
Unfortunately, it's only a vague recollection now of something from the time when he was president or vice-president; I think I remember that he tried not to make much of it because (even then) it would be perceived as something an "elite" would know. Anybody able to help me here?

20. Maybe Kerry IS French?? huh? huh?
I hear he's been known to wear French cologne as well.
If it looks French, sounds French and smells French, chances are....

Oh well, California has an Austrian Governor and I think Bush looks slightly Saudi when he grows a beard and wears Barbara's dish towels on his head.
