The Future of Conservative Extremism and Their Enablers.
Edited on Tue May-09-06 09:16 PM by NativeTexan
As the American electorate continues to realize that George W. Bush, his minions, and their conservative extremist buddies are nothing but crooks, thugs, and basically nothing short of a South American dictatorship, those that enable them shall surely take the fall with them.

None more deserving than FOX News. This "news" network, and I use the term not just loosely, but totally sarcastically, has actually been the government run television network, who's job it has been to force-feed the population with propaganda about the war and the Bush "agenda". It did its job well when it fired the first shot to call the 2000 election, at the behest of a Bush cousin that works for them, for the COUP. Like instant replay in the NFL, it is harder to overturn the original call, so whatever gets called first has the odds in its favor.

They are Bush apologists who have tried, unsuccessfully, to hide that fact behind a "fair and balanced" tag, that they gave themselves.

Bill O'Reilly has had a stark drop in his ratings. Sean Hannity is being seen by the masses for what he really is....a bully and a jerk. Neither is a real journalist. O'Reilly, you may remember, was the host of an entertainment show, not unlike "Entertainment Tonight". When the show ended, and he couldn't find real work, he found that being a hatchetman fit his personality.....and his ego.

But they all shall suffer, as the right-wing, hypocritical, theocratical, fascist leaning house of cards falls. And it is happening.

When you cut off the head of the snake....the body dies!

Another opinion nobody asked for......

2. Re: Faux-Murdoch-Hillary Clinton ......
Consider .... before all else, Murdoch is a greedy businessman. For evidence, look no further than the congnitive dissonance between the uber conservative, uptight, self-righteous 'family values' crap of Faux Newz and the over-the-top sexuality and sleaze that is the Fox entertainment network.

Years ago, in his native Australia, Murdoch was a huge Labor Party supporter when **that** side of the spectrum suited him.

It may well be that his hosting the Clinton fundraiser - in the face of his network's falling Neilsens and the changing mood of the country - may be the first of his moldy toes into the waters on the left side of the dial.

He's no idealogue ...... he's a greedy, amoral robber barron.

10. I agree about Murdoch
If he valued *Co above the almighty dollar, he would have yanked The Simpsons long ago, especially after the Commander CuckooBananas remark. La Familia Simpsons is his cash cow.

Good point on the faux "news" charlatans, that station may as very well be thought of as official "state TV" for the Bush administration. I mean really, faux news attacked every possible thing Clinton did, but has largely given Bush a free pass on all his lies, scandals, and incompetence.

5. "winning" a couple of elections is not enough
we have to eliminate these criminal degenerate thugs from all positions of influence. They are a poisonous cancer in our society. If we do not rub them out, they will just come back like the rancid abcess that they are.
