Howard Dean slaps Tom DeLay into next week on "This Week"
Edited on Sun May-07-06 08:46 AM by zulchzulu
Hopefully there will be footage available of that...it was classic...

Tom DeLay (why the hell is he even on the tube?) mumbled tired Repug talking points (he must be off the RNC Fax message line) and then Dean was brought into the mix. Howard basically put an end to DeLay's nonsense.

It was like watching an old dog get run over by a bullet train in slow motion.

Additionally, later in the show, Katrina Vanden Heuvel (The Nation) commands over George Will expertly with some nice jabs and zingers.

9. Where do you live?
I'm having a heck of a time accessing the schedule of ABC news. Their web page makes it impossible.

13. Saw Dr. Dean this morning:
He really did us proud. I loved it when he said that any Dem. who was unethical needed to go. No BS...and it certainly shut Stephanopolis up.

15. He was great.
After listening to Tom Delay pull the same crap Bill Frist did about Clinton being to blame for gas prices, it was good to hear Dean put him in his place. My personal favorite moment was when he said, "I'm not going to argue with a guy who's on his way out of congress." Priceless.

16. Howard Dean did very well! In particular in his handling of the
Impeachment issue. He's got it just right.......Investigations is what we will ask for after taking back the house and/or the Senate.

Glad of that!

Loved the fact that he mentioned his Mom in reference to the Medicare Bill. That was just the right personal touch.

Also, he looks good with his White Hair!
