An uplifting Colbert story.
My dyed-in-the-wool raging liberal mother is currently in a Long Term Care Facility, recovering from a fractured pelvis.

I told her about the White House Correspondents Dinner (which she watched without fail until this year) and Stephen Colbert (and she had no idea who he is).

The facility has a computer set up for residents to access the internet in a fairly public area. No one was using it, so my mother and I watched the Google video of Colbert's routine.

As we watched, we had nursing staff, patients and families joined us.

Everyone who watched it, cheered it. The nursing staff asked me to bookmark the page so they could watch the entire video on their break.

My mother loved it.

Please, keep sharing the Colbert. People are hungry to see it.

MKJ

23. What a great thing to see this on the Greatest page this AM. I'm a little
embarrassed by the grammar in the OP, since I posted quickly, while waiting for some friends to arrive at our house.

Thanks for all your warm thoughts and wishes for my mother.

Watching her laugh until tears came to her eyes was wonderful. And, seeing that spark of hope in those eyes, when she saw that someone spoke this directly to the little emperor was, cliched as it might sound, priceless.

Keep sharing the Colbert...:pals: MKJ

25. I just happened to watch it with my 66-year-old mother.
She loves the Daily Show and she hates Bush with a passion. She has to turn off the station when she hears his voice.
