Kerry to Frist: Let’s Help Consumers and Invest in Real Energy Solutions
Kerry to Frist: Let’s Help Consumers and Invest in Real Energy Solutions
April 27th, 2006 @ 5:26 pm

Today, responding to the rising gas prices and the republican quick fix offered today which includes drilling in ANWR and “$100 rebate checks” for some taxpayers, John Kerry sent a letter to Senate Major Leader Bill Frist, telling him, “Let’s help consumers and invest in real energy solutions.”

John Kerry has introduced legislation to repeal tax giveaways for oil companies and he believes the $28 billion in savings should be used to help consumers and develop renewable energy sources.

4. To go along with real energy solutions
Why doesn't a congressman or Senator introduce legislation to audit the books of all Major Oil Companies. There is something wrong here ....19 billion dollar profit last quarter..When the oil companies give us this bull shit that .."well our refining capacity cant meet demand" .or "an oil line in Iraq was damaged" so it ups the price..What the hell did we do back in the late nineties when we didn't even get oil from Iraq...Yes we need to push Congress for alternative energy but here's the kicker..AS long there is billions being made from the commodities market on oil, forget it,because most of the Republican Congressman and Senators probably hold future contracts in oil...No the public will never know because those dealings are buried so deep probably their accountant doesn't even know..
