Call WaPo 703.469.2500 Say NO to Red State blog
They've hired one of the founders of RedState to "counter" Froomkin's rampant liberalism! They said the paper needed more "balance".

Good. I hope they sign up a lot of red readers because they just lost a blue one.

And you know that conservatives don't have a media voice
That's what Rush said.
And George.
And Cokie.
And Fred.
And John.
And Brit.
And the other John.
And the other George.
And Anne.
And Michelle.
And Joe.
And Bob.
And Jim.
And Neal.
And Lars.

Why, conservatives can barely get a word in edgewise!

2. Who am I supposed to talk to?
I called and got into their "interactive" automation. I talked to the lady at #8 (breaking news)and told her what I wanted, plus I explained to her the deal with red state blog and told her I had dropped my NYT subscription for some of the shenanigans they'd pulled, that WaPo was a national treasure and I would hate to lose my last print media with any credibility at all. I made it clear I did not want fair OR balanced, I wanted truth!
She said, "Oh, I'll get it for you" and then switched me back to the automated menu.
Urrrk. Some people suck at everything. Wapo is doing its best to lose the vast majority of its readers. Damn Dumb.

3. You have to ask to speak to "Media Relations"

You'll almost always get a human being at any company that way.

When you call, the first thing you should ask is, "Are you on-deadline right now?"

Normally, if they say yes, you would ask when a better time to call is.

But because this is The Washington Post, we don't really care. You can tell them that.

"I don't really care. Anyway, I wanted to tell you..."

4. It's okay with me, if this means they lighten up on Dan
and stop trying to centerize him.

Hey, this could be a good thing. Let'em have another Blog. Then, we should ask for another, and another, and another . . .
