5. It's my understanding the rat is a good omen in the Chinese calendar. . .
as there are always a preponderance of rats when harvests are good and food is plentiful. Still don't understand how this might apply to Mr. Gore, but maybe merwin will return to enlighten us.

19. Here is one opinion
Edited on Sun Jan-29-06 08:13 AM by NewJeffCT
People born in the Year of the Dog possess the best traits of human nature. They have a deep sense of loyalty, are honest, and inspire other people¡¦s confidence because they know how to keep secrets. But Dog People are somewhat selfish, terribly stubborn, and eccentric. They care little for wealth, yet somehow always seem to have money. They can be cold emotionally and sometimes distant at parties. They can find fault with many things and are noted for their sharp tongues. Dog people make good leaders. They are compatible with those born in the Years of the Horse, Tiger, and Rabbit.

There was a story in those "news of the weird" type things that make the Lounge and a little blurb in the newspaper or on radio, but a business in China had decided to hire only people born in the Year of the Dog because of their loyalty & honesty.

BTW, my wife is a dog, and I'm a horse. And, even though many Chinese are atheists, this still holds a lot of weight with them.

Edited on Sun Jan-29-06 07:55 AM by mcscajun

18. every 12 years, your sign comes up...
meaning in 2008, Gore will be 60? I'm pretty sure it's not 72 or 48.
