Dem PR In Case of Another Attack
Does the Democratic Party have a P.R. plan in case there is another terrorist attack on U.S. soil?

In spite of the deep corruption of the Republican Party and the deep unpopularity of Bush, perception is everything and we are only one attack away from all this being forgotten by many of the electorate. Druggie Limbaugh has already said that it will be the fault of the ACLU, the liberals and the Democratic Party if there is another attack.

Or does Hillary Clinton know she'll be the go-to candidate in such a situation by remaining steadfast in support of the war?

Just worried...

8. We could try
We could try to paint it this way, and it would be the truth, but FOX, CNN, et al. will give lip service to the Bob Novaks of the world by claiming that liberal groups weakened the country by taking Bush to task over his illegal wiretapping, liberals caring more for the rights of terrorists than law-abiding Americans, blah blah blah...

Then Abramoff, DeLay, illegal wiretaps and other things will be forgotten by most people.

4. We have to be very careful with this...
If we come out too aggressive in pointing out Bush's flaws, we'll be playing right into the repug plans. They'll paint us as being "weak on terror", playing politics with terrorism, etc. We all know it's bullshit, but the general populace eats this stuff up.

Best thing to do is to very calmly - but firmly - point out precisely why Bush's policies have made this country less safe, and not more so.

7. LOL - you're talking about facts, not politics
It's not the truth that matters, it's how you present the truth. And the GOP has been quite effective at convincing many people that the Democrats are weak on terror, military, family values, etc.

9. That's for sure!!!
And this is the problem. The Dems have been horrible at framing issues. We'll be "swift-boated" again.

6. Well, I see that maybe they should talk about Ben Laden getting
away (or purposely let go,as it has been said), his statement that he wasn't interested in him anymore, and that bombing Iraq has made more terrorist...but I don't know how much the dems have in courage. There sure is plenty but don't know if the dems will use.
