Who is your favorite Dem 06 candidate and why?
Does anybody even know that we could retake this country from the hands of CORRUPT REPUBLICANS if we focused on 06 candidates? Stp trashing Dems or go back to your Freeper, RNC, Troll or third Party boards.

1. I'd have to say the dude running against Santorum...
...because I can't STAND that vile man (Santorum, that is). Pretty sad that I can't think of his name, but then, I am a little tipsy. AND I worked 14 hours today. Sorry, carry on... Wait! Casey, right? Hey I thought of it after all! And before I posted this. Too bad my backspace button doesn't work. :(

10. Bob Casey is pro life
Believes Roe v. Wade should be overturned. (Although you will not find that position anywhere on his web site) If he wins and ends up voting with the Republicans don't act surprised.

11. That is pretty much the only issue that he agrees with the Republicans
on. Almost all of his economic views are to the left.

22. He doesn't agree with Santorum on this.
There are different shades of "pro-life" and Casey's shade is much more palatable, even though it isn't good enough for some absolute pro-choicers. However, our Casey Meetup group includes someone who is on at least one board of Planned Parenthood and NARAL (don't remember which, currently), and has been involved for years with both. Casey is better than Santorum by miles. And he can win in PA.

He's the ONLY Dem with NAME RECOGNITION, which, apparently, will be needed in my Light Blue state!

(Yeah, Pinacchio might be way better---but NOT WITH THAT NAME!! ("And his Campaign Manager, Gepetto.")

3. My choice ...
The one who can see where the money comes from, who controls it, and where it goes.

If he or she is beholden to that money, I don't have a chance to be anything other than a pawn in a very ig game in which I am but a worthless guppies fighting over morsels of fish food that the big fish have thrown out to me in their ultimate power and wisdom.

Elections? Partisan? Give me a break already. I have only followed the money and it taught me great wisdom and truth. The rest of you can fight over and react to what you are given to react to in your own ways. I have seen the media, the game, the so-called progress, and I have chosen the promised land. That is, the one that does not bow down to the money and bankers behind it and refuses to sell it out. Well, I have nothing to sell or preserve, do you>

From there, what are your political and partisan alignments and why? Are they your very own, or did somebody inculcate them into you for various reasos?

6. 3 great women candidates running in San Diego:
Francine Busby, running for Cunningham's seat, has pledged to introduce ethical reforms in Congress.

Jeeni Criscenzo, running against Darryl Issa, has been sponsoring "Bring Your Buddies Home" peace vigils all over her district.

Karen Marie Otter, an Army Veteran running against Duncan Hunter, has vowed not to take any money from defense contractors during wartime and challenged the warmongering Hunter to give back the megabucks he's pocketed.

My greatest Democratic Candidate is someone I know and hopefully will be in power SOON and will listen to me voice my concerns as to what is going on there!

Everyone else out there should also be favoring those close to you that can speak for you! That's what representative government is all about!

Feels like we've had a big vacuum here with Cunningham (and now NOONE) representing us!

7. I'm still hoping for O'Malley to dump Ehrlich
In Maryland. I reserve special distaste for Ehrlich after his performances in the 2002 debates against KKT.

The polls have flopped and now Ehrlich is ahead, plus his favorables are up. But O'Malley has a big chance and should do better in key Democatic areas than KKT did. This is assuming O'Malley gets the nomination.

8. oooh, oooh, (raises hand)
I know the answer to this: Bernie Sanders is my favorite dem candidate. And he's going to win, replacing Jim Jeffords as Jr. Senator from the state of Vermont.

18. He will
He's so far ahead in the polls, it's funny. The guy running against him, doesn't have a chance. Don't forget, Bernie is Vermont's sole congress critter, so he's already run statewide many times.

16. Ford Bell in Minnesota.. :)
I've been pimping him all day because he was pretty damn awesome last night.

Extremely progressive, articulate and well spoken. He has a grasp on the issues and he's fighting against a candidate who just because she's the state AG, establishment Dems are supporting her and trying to circumvent a primary.

His Democratic opponent, Amy Klobuchar, is a poor speaker with a poor record and the Republican is Mark Kennedy, a Bush favorite. All the more reason to punk him with a progressive Dem in November.
