Who caught Clinton on Nightline last night?
Always nice to be reminded of what a president sounds like, yeah?

3. I caught him on NPR this morning
they were talking about his efforts on behalf of getting cheaper AIDS drugs to people in developing nations. I got thinking-Jimmy Carter is still involved in Habitat for Humanity, helping internationally with observing elections, and now Bill is doing this. Just what do you hear about ex-presients who are repukes?

7. Nightline covered a lot of the same ground...
As for GOP ex-presidents, there's only two, Ford and Bush Sr. Ford is freaking ancient, so I give the man a pass. And you could say that Bush has been helpful in the wake of Katrina and the tsunami, but it's only been in conjunction with our boy Bill.

8. Reagan
Wasn't he supposed to have been paid about 2 million for his memoirs, not to mention usurious "speaking" fees?

10. Well, again, to be fair...
Reagan was already more or less out of his head by the time he left the presidency in 1988. Hell, I'd say the Alzheimer's was certainly first showing signs in 1986 -- Remember his utter inability to recall anything during the Iran/Contra hearings? I blame that on Alzheimer's... of course, alternatively, he could've just been a lying sack of shit.

4. Itwas good to hear him. He looked really pale and tired though.
The heart operation really took a toll. Maybe it's just that he's aging.

9. Actually, if you saw the interview...
you'd know that, along with discussing his work in setting up a worldwide AIDS healthcare network, he also discussed democestic spying and the FISA court, adding the somewhat important note that, whenever domestic wiretaps were required during his presidency, he always used FISA.

11. Was this a repeat? I think I saw this interview about a week ago.
He talked about his AIDS drug program, so I think it might be the same. His philanthropic dreams are huge. Really impressive.

Incidentally, I thought he looked fabulous.
