...to praise the current economy."

Nice little dig.

1. He is also shrugging off the fact
that those lower numbers of jobs being created are min. wage jobs. (Fast food and wal-mart) So if we have less jobs at a lower pay we have = depression. IMHO

2. heh - glad they said it.
Depressing when reading a compilation of headlines per the 10 minute event with former secretary of states (a current GD thread) - there is no way they (media) could mistake a 10 minute gathering with... soliciting advice (as was the meme in most of the coverage). Absolutely outrageous. Glad that on this item MSNBC stated the obvious outloud per bush's current "great economy tour" irony.

3. He's also 'shrugged off' the consistently bad news ...
... coming out of Iraq, allegations that he's broken the law, the fact that the country is now in debt beyond all imagining, the fact that infant mortality rates are climbing in the US, et cetera ...

Maybe we should change his title from 'The Chimp' to 'The Shrug'.

4. That's been his response since he took office.
He shrugged off reports of an al-Qaeda attack.
He shrugged off reports there was no connection between Iraq and al-Qaeda.
Shrugged off reports trhere were no WMDs in Iraq.
Shrugged off reports of civil unrest if we toppled Hussein.

The list goes on and on.

He's the king, why should he care? He'll do what he wants.

5. Coming up to 2,200 soldiers killed in Iraq, Mr President...
"Hey, shit happens..."
