3. "Joey, you're doin' a heckuva job down there"
This was a horrible, tragic, shameful episode. The Bush Administration bears some of the responsibility for this one.

5. OK it's early in the morning
and the brain isn't working at full capacity yet. Please explain how the bush administration bears some of the responsibility for this tragedy. Keep in mind that I am familiar with MSHA rules and regs, as I am a safety person at my place of employment which is inspected twice a year by MSHA. The mine across the highway is inspected four times a year, btw. So anyway, while I am most certainly not a bush apologist, not even close, I wish you would try and tell me how bush and co. are responsible for this. Sago mining is mostly responsible I think. Numerous violations and no apparent effort to fix them.

7. only thing I can think of
is the fact that the * admin is beholden to the mine-owners and nothing will be done about the violations that took place in the mine...

14. Where did the original post say that Bush was responsible??
It merely pokes fun that he most likely DOESN'T give a rats ass about 12 miners. Gotta say,I concur with that statement....

17. Perhaps distantly by * admin. fuzzies with corporate America--
the coal company had been cited 40+ times in the last year for safety violations. How do companies like this continue to operate? It's a generic accusation thrown at *, it's wrong, but it's understandable given *'s lack of compassion about anything but power and privilege.

11. LOL!!
And look at that head that's in the background, out of focus, behind him. Either that's a bust of LBJ, or it's some sort of heathen idol that he acquired at the last Bohemian Grove orgy...

15. Omigawd, is it Ike? The nerve of that fucking chickenhawk!
Has the bust of a 5-star general in his office, and he couldn't stop smoking pot and snorting coke long enough to keep his flight status.

Got out after 6 years as a fucking lieutenant!

18. Yeah--what ever happened to the custom of the Emperor leading his
troops in battle HIMSELF???

Just ONCE I'd like to see Junior, or Chickenpants Cheney, lead the troops in one of these attacks that they're so fond of making!

10. his face has the markings of a face filled with anxiety ... his eyes look
like the crazed eyes one might encounter in a mental health lock up cell. the chair seems to be swallowing up rove's greatest president ever :sarcasm: and the phone looks like he could have put the mouthpiece on his ear, and the earpiece next to his mouth.

the man looks confused, bewildered, uncomfortable and like he needs to get out and clear some brush, or those desks and other furniture at the WH better watch it before he starts to "clear" them out, much in the same way he clears brush.

now... was he thinking about abramoff? or about the american spy scandal, or about what latest lie or impudent boldness he would come up with to defend the latest criminal action of his gassy ass?

was contraalteethzah lice not at hand to hold his hand?

whatever was going on in george's mind, it surely was not the 12 dead miners nor the surviving one.

was he wondering how he could exploit the miners situation for a photo op, or even for a distraction from all of his crimes?

georgie was not having a good day!... life is so unfair!
