If Howard Dean Wants My Vote In The GE, He Must......
Become the nominee.

See, now wasn't that easy?

:)

Sorry if this thread lacked the dramatic flair of others around here, but I'm making a point. ABB.

Anything less would be uncivilized.

1. If the Democrats want my vote
they'll stop trying to batter me over the head with fear of Republicans while running away from Democratic positions in order to appeal to corporate donors and moron swing-voters who pay attention to nothing. Fear of Republicans as a selling point for the Democrats has gotten us nothing but total Republican control. What do I have left to fear? My worst fear has come true and now...we've hit rock bottom and they still want to try to use that as a tool? It's time for change. The fact that they're pushing Kerry is evidence that they have no intention of making that change.

5. Yup
Should of thought of that months ago. ABB is all fine and dandy now that your guy is the front-runner. The Democratic Party has been sabotaging Dean in favor of anyone who will maintain that status quo. If the Democratic Party wants me to be ABB then they need to be the same. That's obviously not the case.

6. I've been ABB since I got here
I might have flipped back and forth for a few weeks in between candidates while trying to decide who my guy was going to be. But in the end I came back to the same guy I started with.

And still, I'm ABB.

Last time I checked, the purpose of this website was to help fuel the ousting of Bush. Not necessarily to get "Candidate X" the nomination because he's the purest candidate.

9. I could give a rat's ass if it's Howard Dean or anyone else
what HAS TO STOP is the pollution of corporate money and big money donors in the Party. It's killing us because they won't take a fucking stand that will risk that. Howard Dean showed that it is possible to go outside of that paradigm and they shat on it. Why? Because they fear losing any modicum of power more than they fear 4 more years of Bush. ABB? I'll be there when the Party is.

8. I don't think the Gore endorsement was intended as sabotage
but maybe it ended up that way? I don't see the Dem party sabotaging anybody except GWB by running some of the finest candidates I have seen thru this process.

The only place binary thinking has for me is Bush/Anybody Else
The rest of that kind of thinking just seems like a way to oversimplify and be divisive.

I saw a great thread last night of post debate pictures; Sorry I don't have the link - but there was a great one of Dean smiling and talking with Kerry.

If you really look at Kerry's record w/o the DU distortions he is pretty far from status quo. I don't expect you to feel that any candidate is perfect -- HD quite frankly is tooooooooo conservative for me. But you can bet that I will be out there working for him if he wins the nomination (which is very much still in the realm of possibility as far as I am concerned.)

7. I second that
I will only vote Dean.

I don't buy into the ABB. Bush only accomplished what he did by Democrats voting for his tax cuts, health bill, IWR, Patriot Act, Homeland Security,

So voting ABB won't change everything back to what it was.

That's right let's put Kerry in and he can continue Bush's work, the proof is there he voted for Bush's stuff.

2. If any of them want my vote
I agree, they must become the nominee.

Except for Liebermann. Then I might struggle with the decision. The guy sounded like he was playing to conservatives in the debate in South Carolina last night.
