"Duke-Stir" re: Drugs

Parody "autobiographical" site.
However the facts are true.

Drugs: Hypocrite or Cruel?

As you probably know, my son Todd Cunningham received a 2 1/2 year federal prison sentence for marijuana smuggling. He was caught flying in 400 pounds of Marijuana bricks (worth $200,000.00) in a twin-engine plane (like father like son :-), then selling the pot to two other men. My son might have received a lighter sentence if he didn’t test positive for cocaine three times while on bail. When an officer tried to apprehend him after the third positive test, my son hurled himself out a window and broke his leg. You may know I favor stiff drug penalties and that I voted for the death penalty for major drug dealers.

Of course, my son’s exempt, and I pleaded for letting him off at the trial. My son got 30 months (half the federal “mandatory” minimum). But they should kill everyone else who qualifies. After all, isn’t that a lot cheaper than prevention programs or sissy treatment clinics? Some people say I’m hypocritical, others say I’m stupid, still others say I’m mean. You decide.

4. Wow... this is quite the common theme for GOP pols families!! Hugh!!1111
CINDY McCAIN - Wife of Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)
.
In 1995, Cindy McCain, wife of U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ), admitted to stealing
Percocet® and Vicodin® from the American Voluntary Medical Team, which provides humanitarian aid
to Third World countries. The two narcotic painkillers are Schedule II drugs, in the same category as
cocaine and opium. Sen.McCain is the chairman of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation
Committee. Cindy McCain became addicted to the drugs after undergoing back surgery. However,
instead of prosecution, the senator's wife was allowed to enter a pretrial diversion program. An editorial
writer in the Arizona Republic noted: "Conservatives seemed to achieve some sort of drug-rehab
epiphany when Ms. McCain made her announcement.
.
Newspapers that often used words such as drug addict and thug as describing the same person suddenly
had a new sensitivity to the problem" ( Doug MacEachern, "Painkillers Took Over Her Life," San Jose
Mercury News, August 23, 1995, p. 8A; James Bovard, "Prison Sentences of the Politically
Connected," Playboy, April 1997, p. 46 ).

5. No shit!
and don't forget Noelle Bush, who got treatment, a treatment deserved by ALL but denied most Floridians. Limbaugh still gets away with hate speech about drug dealers, addicts, etc. Sen Richard Shelby (R-AL) had a son ignornat enough to get caught trying to smuggle hash through Hartsfield and Congressman Spencer BAchus (R-Alabama) had a son slinging weed in some uppuer crust park in a rich B'ham suburb and , that too, tot swept under the rug....And on and on and on....
