U S House pulls POLITICAL STUNT w/GOP Budget
The US House pulled a "political stunt" when it passed the IMMORAL GOP Budget in the wee hours of the night.

When Harry Reid used parliamentary procedure to go into closed session so that he could put an end to the Republicans stalling on "Phase II" of the investigation about the intelligence used prior to invading Iraq, the Rethugs called it "a political stunt." I think that they were wrong. I think that they used "political stunts" to pass the UNpatriot Act and now the IMMORAL GOP Budget - the Reverse Robinhood tactic.

I think that language matters and I hope you will consider kicking this thread and maybe even recommending it. Thanks.

1. This is a horrid bill and is going to significantly harm
the least fortunate amongst our population while giving more "aid" to the most fortunate - all the while doing nothing to reduce the strain on the deficit.

This will have a significant impact on the consumers my organization serves and let me tell you, there isn't much fat left to trim. People are going get homeless, medication-less and job-less out of this deal.

4. "When you do it unto the least of these you do it unto me" -
These "conservative Christian" Rethugs should know that passing an IMMORAL GOP Budget is the wrong thing to do.

10. No, it's out...
as I understand it. Alaska gets the money but it's not dedicated to the bridges anymore, which makes us who actually live here quite happy. There are far better things to use that money for in Alaska than those two stupid bridges.

12. We have so many huge issues here...
My concern is for the infrastructure of the villages, many of which don't even have running water, and have fuel and other costs that are just out the roof. Besides which many of the villages out on the west coast have terrible flooding every year, and some are about to fall off into the ocean. We don't have many highways here, but the ones we do have require constant upkeep because of the extreme weather conditions, frost heaves, potholes, etc. Bridges are simply vanity items, in my opinion.

14. didn't Nancy Pelosi just DESTROY this bill on CSPAN,
i think her words were "Republicans give a whole new meaning to 'suffer little children'".

Rethugs showing their true colors: more barefaced hackery, more undisguised and unmistakable evil, more temerarious and transparent actions against Democrats.
Let's give these guys the boot, b/c altho they clearly do not represent the interests of the average American nor their self-defeating base, we need to do them justice and kick these imposters out b/c they hold a huge amount of power still.
And democratic procedure will indeed keep them alive through a few elections, but we must, for the entire world we must GO GET THESE BUSH BASTARDS.

This bill is horrible. Despicable. I was happy when it was stalled b/c Rethugs were going out of their lil' minds knowing their big-business bosses wanted that thing passed. I slept well at nite knowing they were staring at the ceiling. No more

At least the senate will kill it
