LOL Robert Byrd's opponent manages to lose money through fundraising
http://www.dailymail.com/news/News/2005111432 /

They say it takes money to make money, but one West Virginia candidate for the U.S. Senate in 2006 has so far found fundraising to be a pricey proposition.

Republican Hiram Lewis had raised $395,000 but then spent all but about $77,340 of it by the time of his latest campaign finance report, which was filed in mid-October.

A review of the report shows that Lewis has spent more than three-fourths of his money on an ambitious effort to raise funds through direct-mail appeals

7. I was just about to suggest doing that!
In fact, I just mailed about 30 pounds of bricks to the state GOP HQ using their postage-paid reply envelope a few weeks ago.

6. Oh my that is dumb
True ineptitude, which will serve him well in whatever else he plans to do next, because it sure isn't going to be taking away Byrd's Senate seat...
