http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10026954/BAGHDAD, Iraq - Two U.S. Marines were killed in combat and an American soldier died in a vehicle accident in Iraq, the military said in a statement Sunday.
The Marines, who were assigned to Regimental Combat Team 8, 2nd Marine Division, died Saturday when their vehicle was bombed in Al-Amiriyah on the western edge of Baghdad, a statement said.
In a separate incident, the military said a soldier assigned to Regimental Combat Team 2, 2nd Marine Division died Saturday in a traffic accident near Rawah. A number of U.S. Army soldiers are assigned to assist Marine operations in western Iraq.
At least 2,065 members of the U.S. military have died since the war began in 2003, according to an Associated Press count.
