Sulzberger just plain Doesn't Get It about Judy Miller. A mediocrity.

I think I watched about half of it.

3. Miller is a BFEE Plant. Sulzberger Approved the Planting

Sulzberger kept Miller out of reach of any ordinary managment controls.
No other reporter was given that kind of latitude.
It certainly wasn't because of the outstanding quality of her reporting and it doesn't seem likely that Arthur has a crush on her.

4. I wouldn't go that far

But the Sulzbergers have run the NYT as a clumsy 'pro-Israel' outfit to some extent and 'Pinch' not having sharp instincts hasn't realized that this is turning into a fatal flaw and inlet for corruption. The bozo spent his time attacking the Washington Post at every possible turn, as if that were going to.

Miller is half Jewish and wrote that tres politically Likudnik book about the Holocaust, 'One by One by One', which amounts to a typical adolescent extremist approach to halfie identity problems. That book has the kind of vehement and ultimately simplistic and irresponsible p.o.v. that I can see 'Pinch' subscribing too, so that's my guess at the bond there is: shared immaturity/politics/derangement.
