Edited on Fri Nov-04-05 07:55 AM by vickiss
This is so good just had to give it is own thread!
Didn't find it on search, hope it's not a dupe.

Let's get his nasty self OUT of Pa., out of the Senate forever!
How he ever was elected here I have no clue! Sorry USA!
I have to leave in a bit, but will be back later.
It is disgusting to live in a state where one of our Senators draws such hatred from around the country.

1. In answer to the question
"How he ever was elected here I have no clue!"

There's a saying I've heard, that in Pennsylvania, it's Pittsburgh on one side, Philly on the other, and Alabama everywhere inbetween

2. Great idea!
I so cannot wait until this human drain plug is well and truly dissolved by the mighty wrath of the electorate. I humbly beseech the people of the fine state of Pennsylvania. (I don't live there, but I've got my fingers crossed for you to the point where they might snap.)

You must. Do or not do, there is no try.

And I must ask, although I hope you'll forgive me saying this: how on Earth did this happen the first time?

Was there something in the water?

I'm sorry already. ;)

Looking forward to tapping that keg on that magic occasion in 2006 when we can all look back on this idiot as the bad memory he was.

5. "How he ever was elected here I have no clue! "
Timing.

He happened to be running against a replacement encumbent (Harris Wofford, who was appointed by Bob Casey Sr. to serve out the remainder of the late Sen. Heinz's term)

Wofford was the first national politico in the early 90's to really push for national health care. In '94, the right wing, in conjunction with the Insurance industry and the AMA spent millions of dollars on ads to combat Hillary Clinton's health care plan (remember that?) Because Wofford had so strongly identified himself with the national health care issue, we received a lot of collateral damage from the attacks on Hillary. Santorum benefitted from that national effort, and snuck into office.

Santorum is an anomaly in PA Senate history - PA has always tended toward liberal Republican senators - think Specter, Heinz, etc. Senator Brownfroth has been officeholding on borrowed time since '94; it is well past time that Ricky goes buh-bye.

Go Casey! Or Pennachio! Or whoever! Hell, I'd vote for Punxatawney Phil over Santorum.

9. Are Don Imus, Imus' wife, and a certain Ms. Wright going to attend?
Because day before yesterday, Mr. Saintorum said on Don Imus, "Your wife called me up and told me she wanted to do a three-way with me and Ms. Wright."

Imus appeared underwhelmed at this rather pathetic and off-color attempt at a joke. We can only imagine what Mrs. Imus' reaction was.

Party of Morality. Yeah.

17. I grew up in Western PA myself (near Erie) and I can remember
when the only Republicans who could win any statewide office in PA were people like Bill Scranton or Ray Schaeffer who were sometimes more liberal than there Democrat opponents. Many times the unions and other liberal groups endorsed the GOP candidate.

What on earth has happened?

20. I am near Erie, Corry is near the Warren/Erie county line.
Phil English is our rep. Ugh! tob two-faced scoundrel!
Were you here when Casey needed a double transplant and surprise a younger prison inmate that was a perfect match was attacked and killed at the prison? They even said "Wha'?" in other states as I recall.
Ridge, Thornburg, Schaffer, treasures from the Pa political pool.
Poverty and greed is what has happened to Pa.

Scumtorum has got to go next year, if no good scandal takes him out beforehand. After his threesome remark to Imus, nothing would surprise me

Peace
V

18. I love the fact that this is nationwide.
I'll sign up for it...there appear to be no parties in the Chicago area as of yet...but I'll keep trying.

We need to mobilize to win back control of Congress, of course. But there are Senators that we need to prioritize for defeat...and Ricky "Man on dog sex" Santorum should be at the very top of the list. I don't live in Pennsylvania. But there will be no one in this country who will be happier when this disgusting, lying embarrassment to Pennsylvania, the United States Senate and this country as a whole is defeated in next November.
