Good polling day! (News from AR, AZ, VT, national polls and more)
A poll conducted for the AZ governor's race shows Napolitano in fine shape there with over 30% leads over her two possible opponents.
http://kvoa.com/Global/story.asp?S=4065486&nav=HMO6

An Arkansas poll shows we have a good shot at regaining the governorship there. It also shows low ratings for Bush with just a 38% approval rating in a state that voted for him handily.
http://www.arkansasnews.com/archive/2005/11/03/News/330321.html

Bernie Sanders is in excellent shape to move the VT seat ever so slightly to the left.
http://politicalwire.com/ (look down to the Sanders story)

Zogby, the AP, ABC, and CBS all show Bush in the toilet:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/polls/postpoll110305.htm
I'm sure you can find the CBS and AP polls elsewhere on the forum, but they all paint the same picture with his approval rating at best at 39% and as low as 35%.

And last, but not least, there is bad news for Ahhhnuld with voters saying they want him out and that his push on the ballot initiatives actually makes him weaker. 55% say they do not want him re-elected.

What a glorious day! 2006 could shape up to be a great year.

1. Listening to my AZ Governor right now....
She has a weekly reporting on local TV.

Not even a Goldwater son wants to run against our Janet Napolitano.

5. Unless she blows up, she's almost completely safe.
I do have to put qualifiers in since I tend to jinx things when I am certain. ;-)

18. Yay! And Let's hope Pederson can defeat
Kyl.

And boy would I like to see the Dems take the Secretary of State job from Jan Brewer.

Not sure if we have anyone lined up to run for that yet.

2. Any news on the governor's race in VA?
That's an important election. It's been polling very close.

4. I haven't seen a poll in a couple days there. Both of the most recent ones
showed Kaine beginning to pull ahead of Kilgore. However, Republican GOTV drives tend to be superior in VA so it really is anyone's game, but Kaine does have momentum.

16. Most show Kaine trending upward
Roanoke College poll has him up 8.

Richmond newspaper poll has him up 3, and another has him up 1 (but that poll had Kilgore up 2 last week).

Kilgore is now running despicable illegal immigration ads that rank right up there with his death penalty ads. The Washington Post, on their op-ed page today, crucified Kilgore for them.

17. Thanks for the info.
Even though it's not my home state, I'm very interested in the Virginia race.

3. Freepers refuse to face reality
They are still claiming that ALL these polls only profile Democrats. But there are a few telling them to get their heads out of the sand. As one Freeper put it, "Does Fox only poll Dems? Bush's numbers are below 40% even on Fox Polls."

9. Women Oppose Ahhnuld
Being re-elected 61% to 29% (10% no opinion).

Even in the Central Valley 50% oppose to 39% support.

Latinos oppose 72% to 23%.

Yep, "glorious day." But for 2006 to be a great year, some good Dems had better step up and run.

12. Why come no mention of Ford??
That was the most suprising poll results! It had Harold Ford beating 3 different Republican opponents in the Tennessee Senate race. I was shocked! Him getting elected in Tennessee would be more Earth shattering than Obama getting elected last year. Though Ford is more conservative than Obama, I hope he wins. He's a good and decent guy.

13. Hey, I can overlook things. Also, that poll I believe was an internal poll
so it may or may not be accurate.

15. Internal polls
Generally give the person they intend to help about +6 more than he normally does. If this is the case, it means that Ford is losing, but it also means that he'd only be down by 4 or 5 points, which in TN a year out for someone as skilled a campaigner as he is, isn't a bad situation to be in.
