To those who felt sad about the rally, some thoughts to share and pics.
I felt sad about the rally. We forgot to turn on Link TV, and we gave up on C-Span. We were excited about it. I had a gripe that so many demanded that our Democrats had to attend, but I had nothing but a desire to be there and share. Don't lose your memories of it, and maybe next year the march will be shown on TV.

We have our Peace and Justice Rally every week here. Small by many standards, but very sincere. Let me start out with a moving picture of what I call The Originals. Most of them lived in a nursing home, and they felt so strongly about the war that they held a weekly protest where we have them now. It is touching picture that was in our paper a few years ago. The other two are more recent, but the first is the best. One has died, some still come.

And later ones:

2. I fought the storm Rita, but got home, found that we had
power, and found Link TV. That made me feel better, the fact that all my peeps who had been planning for so long and made the effort, it was happening! I thank everyone for being there, and Channel 375/Link for airing Amy Goodman et al for making me feel like I was there. I melted on my couch and watched the entertainment and the crowds, the talking heads and the enthusiam. Thank you all for representing me! :yourock:

3. We went through 3 eyes last year, so I sympathize.
When Charley and Frances and Jeanne were done, we had no power. But we would walk outside and marvel that we had no damage when trees were on houses all over. There have been too many hurricanes and too many homes lost.

4. We all need a cold front - now!
The remaining storms need to be beat back! No more for anyone is my mantra, because they suck and can be devastating in so many ways.

5. If another went into the Gulf, I could not bear it.
All those people, it is so sad.
