Likely approach for Dubya with Supreme Court Nominee.

He's bound to pick an extremist who will support him when he refuses to leave office in 2009, who will refuse to uphold the Constitution and who will support right wing attacks against American liberties. The main threats are to the Bill of Rights, our freedom and our civil liberties. It is unlikely anyone would overturn Roe, though it might become more limited. The worst case scenario (and an unlikely one), with respect to Roe, would be the use of a states' rights approach, resulting in an increase in migration to California, New York and some of the other more liberal states.

Bush won't want a paper trail so he'll look at relative unknowns and interview them to make sure they're extreme enough. He'll probablly look to the extremist group, the Federalist Society, for his possiblities. Without a paper trail, he will figure, the Democrats won't know what's hit them until it's too late.

Watch for this. We need investigators who will be able to fill in the details that aren't on record.
