Death Penalty for Treason during time of War
Interesting LTTE in today's New Orleans Times-Picayune. The writer, obviously a wack job liberal, wasn't advocating the hanging of karl rove but only stating the truth. A phenomenon lost on conservatives. karl rove exposed the identity of an undercover CIA agent for blatant political purposes during time of war. Its really quite simple. Thanks to the millions of constitution hating ignorant conservative zealots in this country who enable the bush administration to hone mendacity to an artform it has taken us two years to find out. Let us have a fair trial in a timely manner. And would someone start working on the gallows.

1. Why does the name "Rosenberg" come to mind?

3. Just flies in the face of all those Republicans who
use the phrase "we are at war" all the time. Will they deny we are at war? Will they now say this (Rove's treason) doesn't matter?

Well? If we are at war and this is treason, then the punishment should be appropriate.

4. I wish they would consider it treason
Unfortunately, it looks as if he hasn't committed a crime. Yet another immoral and nasty deed; but not a crime unless they can prove he was aware that she was an undercover agent and that one would be really hard to prove. I'm not even holding my breath waiting for Bush to let him go. This entire administration has come so far on lies and deceptions.....it seems to benefit them...not hurt them yet they claim to own the "values" market. It's disgusting.

5. Welcome Mary but I don't think it would be hard to prove at all
If Mrs Wilson were not an undercover agent how could her exposure have hurt her or Joe Wilson? Rove knew exactly what he was doing. If she was "just" a desk jockey rove would have passed on any opportunity to out her. He wanted to inflict pain. And he did. Motive is an ingredient of a crime. rove is a criminal, Mrs Wilson's status at the CIA is his motive. We won't hear that from the media but who know's what the grand jury is sifting through.

7. I hope you're right
I hope you're right; but how do you prove that motive? We all know it's true; but how do you prove it? I saw OJ walk and aside from live footage of Nicole's murder, there is no more evidence they could have had to prove his guilt. The one with the best lawyers wins and the entire Bush administration ALWAYS wins no matter what they do.....and speaking of the media, where have they been??? I think the conservative right owns that too.

6. Hanging alone is too easy
We need to bring back drawing and quartering as a punishment for treason.
