They're living in the tropics. They've got everything they could possibly
want.

The fucker actually said these things. (Bigtime Dick, referring to the Guantanamo detainees, in a recent interview.)

Psychopath
Deluded
Certifiably insane
Dangerous
Armed and dangerous

9. If wounded GIs could be charged for their meals in hospital,...
...what you're suggesting is not impossible.

4. Buddhists define prison as "any place you don't want to be"
and monks often point out that their spartan existence is much worse than most of the prisons in the third world (minus the torture). The difference is that they want to be there. Prisoners don't, and it wouldn't make any difference if they were put up at one of Trump's overdone monstrosities with a free bar and room service. If they're homesick for country and family, they'd be in prison.

They've been there without due process for too long already, and now the junta is preparing the "final solution," an on site execution chamber.

This is not my country. My country would never do this to human beings because of who WE are, not because of who they might be.

time to time. So there.

8. He said it, all right. Here's more from a link from South Africa:
--snip

Cheney said: "They're very well treated down there. They're living in the tropics. They're well fed. They've got everything they could possibly want.

"There isn't any other nation in the world that would treat people who were determined to kill Americans the way we're treating these people."

Asked if the detention centre should be shut down and the prisoners transferred, Cheney said, "it's a vital facility" and must continue operating.

--snip

Cheney said: "They're facilitators of terror. They're members of al-Qaeda and the Taliban. If you let them out, they'll go back to trying to kill Americans."
