LAS VEGAS -
The vice chair of the Nevada Republican Party, Richard Ziser, has asked – no, demanded – the resignation of freewheeling Mayor Oscar Goodman because of his role as a guest photographer for Playboy.

Goodman, who likes to promote Sin City by appearing with showgirls wherever he goes, recently photographed Miss January 2001, Irina Voronina, in the Palms Hotel and Casino for Playboy.com.

Ziser, who is also co-chair of Nevada Concerned Citizens, said Goodman shouldn’t be doing such things as an elected official.

“Every day that I have, I live to the fullest,” Goodman says in the video accompanying his photo shoot. “I drink to excess, I gamble with both fists, and when I eat, I eat like a gourmand. I can do whatever I want, I'm the mayor.”

7. having lived in Vegas, I find the moral outrage bizarre.
That is a city that has no moral background to stand on.
Its odd that he didn't object to Goodman having been a mob lawyer for many years, defending the Spillatro Bros, and then writing about it it "CAsino" in a thinly veiled fictionmentary. Or that his fortunes come from legal fees from racketeering enterprises...

but no...photograph a playmate and he has to step down.

9. He can ask or demand
but the answer will be "No."

If Goodman didn't break the law then all these "Concerned Citizens" can find something else to meddle in.

Why do all these crackpot groups have the word "concerned" or "Family" or "values" in them? THey sure aren't very creative with their vocabulary.
