OK ,what are the chances this religious loophole could be exploited

Let's say you own a motel and you only want straight white Christians with their lawfully wedded spouses staying in your establishment.

Federal law against lodging discrimination prevents that, right?

Well, suppose you sell your motel to a church and lease it back. Or suppose you build a church on the property or designate a motel room for prayer and declare your motel to be a faith-based organization (church) that also happens to provide lodging to whom it chooses.

We've already established that "faith-based organizations" can discriminate in various ways even if they accept federal funds.

Is there anything to stop someone from opening up a chain of "Super-Jesus Motels" along I-95?

I can't remember the name of the place,but it is obviously catering to the fish folks.
Don't know who owns it or how it was funded, though it would be mighty interesting to find out.
I know it's only been around for the last 18 months or so.
