America Reacts to Howard & Judy Dean

The other Dr. Dean made a huge splash last night -- traffic spiked, contributions poured in, and nearly 1,200 comments have been made so far here on the blog in response to Diane Sawyer's interview with Howard and Judy Dean. Here's one:

Judy Dean is a great role model! Together they don't just talk the talk but walk the walk (or bike ride with smushed cupcakes on special occasions!) What a great couple.

And another:
Howard and Judy were wonderful. I'll admit that I had my doubts after I saw the first footage of the speech on Tuesday, but the answer Howard gave tonight brought tears to my eyes -- "I was giving everything to the people who gave everything to me."

Such honesty. Such character. And such an amazing family. I wish I could show a tape of this interview to everyone who has said negative things about this man in the last week.

Watch the interview online yourself to learn about the smushed cupcakes, and see Howard and Judy Dean share the story of the extraordinary relationship and love they've built together.

Don't forget to spread the word about the first TV interview with our next first lady:

3. as a couple they may "set a tone" for the remainder of the campaign
the more I see...the more I like.

If America saw this...there is no doubt that people would be pleased with Dr's Dean.

4. What a GREAT interview!!
I watched the interview last night and was so pleased!! Judy Dean hit this one out of the park!! The poor lady was obviously nervous as hell, but she came across with such grace and class!

I thought Howard Dean handled himself very well, too. I wish we would have seen more of THIS Howard over the past week instead of "Ragin Howard".

I think Judy Dean is the kind of role model we need to put forward: A very smart, down-to-earth career woman. Not as overpowering as Hillary, but far more substantive than vapid Laura.

5. Even the blond bimbo in Faux liked it!
She said this several times this morning.

BTW, I thought Sawyer was horrid and a tad anti-Semitic hinting that a Jewish woman could not measure up to the "image" of previous First Ladies. What a pig!

6. It's hard to attack that interview.... it was "the right thing to do"
and if it helps him fine. If it doesn't ...he has a wonderful wife and family.
