Scenario: Hillary wins 2008 Presidency
Play along with this scenario, ok.

I know there are many naysayers who say that Hillary won't win. Some admit that she could get the Democratic candidancy, but still say that she won't have the votes to become President.

Well, say she pulls it all off, proving many people wrong. What will Hillary's victory say to you? How will that make you view the political process? Will you admit that she has more political savvy than many of you credit her? Will you begin to wonder how strong the string-pulling behind the scenes is? Et cetera.

1. Such a victory would mean the elections aren't rigged anymore.

2. As long as it is a Democrat, I don't care HOW they go there-savvy, string
pulling - whatever - the results will be postive for the American people.

3. I don't doubt Hillary's abilities..If this could happen I would not only
play along but would try and help her..They will use their smear city game on her however by going after EVERYTHING about her and her husband..I like Hillary but question how likely it is that she would be elected as president..

5. The positive on that is that everyone knows already all the "scandals"
There's really nothing new to shock people with. If Hillary can present ideas and policy proposals that people can understand and get behind, she can win, especially if the GOP runs a weak candidate, like Santorum, or if Cheney gets the nomination.

I'm sure the right wing will try spreading rumors like they always do-she's a lesbian, she killed Vince Foster, she read all the republican's FBI files, etc. Everyone has already heard that stuff, there's no shock value and none of it has ever been substantiated. Even Ken Starr concluded that Vince Foster committed suicide.

7. I would vote for her as I did for Kerry but please don't underestimate
the smear tactics of the other side..White Water will be back along with Monica and company. Hillary will be attacked relentlessly for not being in touch at home or elsewhere. Universal healthcare will be be attacked again along with Hillary despite desirability. Swiftboat will be nothing compared to what Hillary will face. Her husband overall was a good president. The other side associates Hillary as part of 'that' team, hates her, and will stop at nothing to defeat her. As I said, I would support her but just what would it all mean and are there no other alternatives for progressive gain without that much pain?

4. I credit her with tons of political savvy
What I think is that she is credited with more hatred than is really out there. String-pulling behind the scenes is politics. I doubt that part of it has changed any. If Hillary ever wins, I'm with her.

6. can we please concentrate on saving Social Security and
keeping neo-Confederate bigots off the federal bench and worry about 2008 later?

8. Does she win in a landslide or a narrow margin?
If she wins with a narrow marge, she will be handicaped. Also will Congress stay Repuke or go Dem? If it stays Repuke, Hillary will be a strong Repuke-lite Prez.

If Hillary is Prez, she'll definitely screw the Palestinians and help the Xtian fundies and extremist Zionist ethnicly cleanse Israel of the Palestinians.

I will not vote for Hillary if she is the Dem Prez nominee. She already has too much innocent blood on her hands.

9. It would tell me that Nader is right
There is no difference between the republican and democratic parties. Hopefully, we won't have to worry about it. She'll lose in MN, IA, WI, MI, PA, OH, and FL. (not to mention NM, CO, AZ, HI,etc)
