For something that is funny, sad and scary all at the same time
go to tbo.com and read the local fundies' rants on the Schiavo decision. My personal favorite comment is:

"...Have the well-educated people of our society left their common sense of reason in collage?"

First runner-up:

"...This is proof of how damaging intellect can be, any 8-year-old resolve this. You feed her (Terri Schiavo) she lives, you remove the food, she dies. When shall my Jesus return?"

Michael Blair, Tampa, FL

Spellings, etc. are as in original.

2. I can't remember the last time I made a collage
But I know it didn't absorb my common sense of reason.

6. The last time I made a collage
it was with macaroni, rotini, and dried pinto beans.

I think my mom surreptitiously threw it out sometime in the last 20 years, or at least the last time I was at her house I sure couldn't find it anyplace.

3. I live in the Tampa Bay area
And believe me, we have some very, very stupid people around here.

I guess it comes from Florida's education system ranked 49th in the country. I've seen more kids killed in school bus stop accidents this year, in Pinellas County alone, than I saw in my whole life in Cleveland. But they still can't change the stops.

4. Me too (Dunedin). Actually most of the posts on tbo.com were
favored the decision and were literate.

8. Right after I moved here I read a book about German Prisoners
of War in the U.S. during WWII. A lot of them worked at the orange plants in Dade City. There were terrible fraternization problems between them and the local women who worked there. My thought was that it was the first time the women had a chance to have sex with someone who wasn't a relative.
