Have you ever attended your Congressperson's town hall?
I started wondering about these. We will hear Senators and Representatives on C-SPAN, CNN, MSNBC, etc. interviews saying they 'go back home to constituents and are hearing (fill in the blank)'

Has anyone here ever attended one of these meetings? We there alot of people there? And lastly, did they try and sweeten things with cookies? (Last one is supposed to be a joke)

1. I did in 2003. Marty Meehan (Mass) had a meeting in my town.
I brought him a bunch of info on BBV and told him that they were going to steal another election in 2004 and it will be our fault if we allow it. Fool me once.... You can see how far that got us.

Whatever.

There were only a handful of people and most looked kind of nutty..except me, of course.

One more thing....if you are going to meet your US Congressman...take the time to get out of your crappy jeans and sweat shirt!!! Most people looked like they just came from raking their leaves. Is it me or is that just so wrong?

2. How did you learn about it?
Did you get a notice in your local paper or something?

As far as the attire, I'd wear my best shoes. :)

3. I attended one at the time of "Hillarycare."
It was standing room only; the place was packed. The crowd started speaking Rush-speak and began to resemble my notion of a Nazi Rally. As the Rush-speak became louder, the crowd got angrier and angrier. They ended up by expressing a desire to get their guns and kill the liberals.

I am not making this up. It was extremely frightening and something that changed my opinion of Americans forever.

I've attended several since, but they have been mostly right-wing propaganda sessions. You should check it out.

4. What part of the country was that?
Is the congresscritter still in office?

That does sound scary. :scared: I expect that's what it would be like around my neck of the woods (DuPage County...Republican Propagation HQ)
