13. 12:30 sounds good. If we wrap up soon enough I got the drinks. BTW
will you please suggest a meeting place. I was thinking either a credit card financial institution or a petroleum company. Then again maybe we could squeeze them all in AND finish with a joint call on the political pukes.

4. Warren Buffett says 'his class is clearly winning' already....
Edited on Tue Mar-08-05 07:54 PM by EVDebs
"Corporate income taxes in fiscal 2003 accounted for 7.4% of all federal tax receipts, down from a post-war peak of 32% in 1952. With one exception (1983), last year’s percentage is the lowest recorded since data was first published in 1934. Even so, tax breaks for corporations (and their investors, particularly large ones) were a major part of the Administration’s 2002 and 2003 initiatives. If class warfare is being waged in America, my class is clearly winning."

from Warren Buffett Urges Higher Corporate Taxes
http://www.commondreams.org/headlines04/0306-01.htm

But I remember when the Black Panthers took advantage of their second amendment rights and marched fully armed... man, that really shook things up back in the day. Nowadays it wouldn't do any good

Foundations Are In Place For Martial Law In The US

and all they have to do is suspend the constitution.

9. Buffet is a builder
His Berkshire company purchases companies on their last legs and typically, he does well in saving them. Buffet has been consistent in his criticisms of neo-con policies.

Germany have cut their cooperate taxes significantly in the last few years. A few other European countries have done the same.

6. If the Bush budget pass' an it is implemented, it will take a while for
the $50,000 income bracket to feel the impact of the programs taken away and the tax burden placed on them; for their pay checks to cover their basic needs less and less; for frustration to build. All that would be needed then is the National Tax that is being kicked around to be brought up for a vote and look like it will pass.....then look out! We $50,000 and less people will only take so much. When anger takes the place of fear of loss, We will have nothing more to loose. This is the position the French were in when they drug the ruling party out into the streets. Washington either thinks this can't happen here or they have forgotten their history.

8. I think they will feel it sooner than that.
As gas prices rise, everything else will start to go up to. That coupled with cutbacks on local levels in police and fire dept. personnel and schools. Any cutbacks in fed programs will trickle down to state and local levels pretty quickly.

17. Seriously...
This bankruptcy "reform" travesty is only the opening shot. What's going to happen when masses of people have homes foreclosed and wages garnished over medical bills? It's going to get ugly in the next few years and honestly, I believe we're facing some rough waters ahead.

The Revolution Will Not Be Televised

By Gil Scott-Heron

You will not be able to stay home, brother.
You will not be able to plug in, turn on and cop out.
You will not be able to lose yourself on skag and skip,
Skip out for beer during commercials,
Because the revolution will not be televised.

The revolution will not be televised.
The revolution will not be brought to you by Xerox
In 4 parts without commercial interruptions.
The revolution will not show you pictures of Nixon
blowing a bugle and leading a charge by John
Mitchell, General Abrams and Spiro Agnew to eat
hog maws confiscated from a Harlem sanctuary.
The revolution will not be televised.

The revolution will not be brought to you by the
Schaefer Award Theatre and will not star Natalie
Woods and Steve McQueen or Bullwinkle and Julia.
The revolution will not give your mouth sex appeal.
The revolution will not get rid of the nubs.
The revolution will not make you look five pounds
thinner, because the revolution will not be televised, Brother.

There will be no pictures of you and Willie May
pushing that shopping cart down the block on the dead run,
or trying to slide that color television into a stolen ambulance.
NBC will not be able predict the winner at 8:32
or report from 29 districts.
The revolution will not be televised.

There will be no pictures of pigs shooting down
brothers in the instant replay.
There will be no pictures of pigs shooting down
brothers in the instant replay.
There will be no pictures of Whitney Young being
run out of Harlem on a rail with a brand new process.
There will be no slow motion or still life of Roy
Wilkens strolling through Watts in a Red, Black and
Green liberation jumpsuit that he had been saving
For just the proper occasion.

Green Acres, The Beverly Hillbillies, and Hooterville
Junction will no longer be so damned relevant, and
women will not care if Dick finally gets down with
Jane on Search for Tomorrow because Black people
will be in the street looking for a brighter day.
The revolution will not be televised.

There will be no highlights on the eleven o'clock
news and no pictures of hairy armed women
liberationists and Jackie Onassis blowing her nose.
The theme song will not be written by Jim Webb,
Francis Scott Key, nor sung by Glen Campbell, Tom
Jones, Johnny Cash, Englebert Humperdink, or the Rare Earth.
The revolution will not be televised.

The revolution will not be right back after a message
about a white tornado, white lightning, or white people.
You will not have to worry about a dove in your
bedroom, a tiger in your tank, or the giant in your toilet bowl.
The revolution will not go better with Coke.
The revolution will not fight the germs that may cause bad breath.
The revolution will put you in the driver's seat.

The revolution will not be televised, will not be televised,
will not be televised, will not be televised.
The revolution will be no re-run brothers;
The revolution will be live.

21. How is that inciting a riot? Just asking when it will start. Puhleeeeze!
Edited on Tue Mar-08-05 09:37 PM by In Truth We Trust
If you lived in wtts in 65 or compton anytime and someone knew when a riot was going to break out wouldn't you want to know when??!!

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that when you fuck people as often and as arrogantly as these DOUCHEBAGS do then there will be a violent reaction. It is only a matter of time. Stolen election in 2000, Enron,Worldcom,Tyco et al, 9/11 and LIHOP or MIHOP, Lieing about WMD, Haliburton, Fallujah and Napalm, Not honoring and protecting our soldiers by providing the proper equipment and sending them on a bullshit mission, N.Korea, Iran now have nukes, main stream media propaganda, paying off so called journalists, gannon-guckert, invitation only campaign events, gay baiting, and invitation only social security "town hall" meetings, bankruptcy law benefiting the greedy corporate bastards, and last but not least stolen election 04. If ever there were reason for rioting and civil disobedience this corrupt government (DINOS and Repukes all) is it.

So, agent Mike please forgive me for articulating and venting and just ask yourself when will they come for you and yours too. I am a patriot and I believe in justice. It is just that there is no justice. The people are not having their will.

to whet our whistle. But you see how greedy these fuckers are...sooner or later they're going to try to take it ALL...poor people might get stomped but i guarantee they'll do more than whine while it happens.

Or at least I hope so.

34. Riots are never good for anything beyond letting off steam.
What do you think the public's response to destroying property and possibly injuring people? Do you think that people will say "what a great cause" and jump on board? Chances are it will draw them away from support for the issue and allow people with the opposing beliefs to label the people who rightfully pursue change as being the same lot. Destructive behavior does more to hurt the cause then to help it.

36. the myth of upward mobility has saved this country's ass many times
Here in the States people believe that they will some day be rich or that if they are poor they are somehow lazy or shiftless. They put up with being screwed over and over again because they believe that somehow they deserve it. Because of this, and other things, this country has put up with wealth discrepancies and unfairness that would send any other country up in flames.
