Poll question: Clark, Edwards, and Kerry supporters, please vote in this poll.
Over the past few days, there have been many, many, many posts by Dean supporters who assume that because some of us have serious issues with his electibility that we are suddenly ABD where the general election is concerned.

I, for one, am not. I will vote for Dean if he wins the nomination.

I would vote for a pet rock against Bush.

I wanted to assume that most Clark, Edwards, and Kerry supporters would agree, but that would be presumptuous, so I ask you to vote.

3. I've always said, upfront, I'll vote Democratic
regardless of the name in front of the "D". Its too important that Bush be denied an outright "win". One more term and the courts (and most likely the country) are gone for decades.

Wow. I'm a Kerry supporter myself, but I'd even vote for Lieberman if he was nominated to defeat Bush.

24. I can believe there are "stay home" & "vote Bush/Green". We got freepers.
Freepers who lurk vote to disrupt our poll. This is a good way of gauging how many Freepos we have.

20. The party should treat this like a family does
Look I have some people who I do not get along with in my family, but when a crisis happens (ie death, trauma) we put aside our differences and do what needs to be done.

I will vote ANYONE but BUSH. That means that if Lieberman gets the vote I would swallow my frustration and check his name. Every person who wants to end the tyranny of BUSH should agree that regardless of what happens, we need to join together and get rid of bush. ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN BUSH. Sad but true.

If we keep bush for 4 more years we will face: constitutional amendment allowing discrimination (ie protection of marriage for heterosexuals), the draft, more war, less freedom, lies, more fear. . .must I go on?

Protect yourself, your family, your way of life.

21. I agree. There are STILL too many people who claim that some of our
candidates are no better than Bush.

That's ludicrous. As you said, anything is better than Bush and any Democrat would be light-years better than the current administration. Considering what the Bush Administration has affected negatively in barely 3 years, the thought of what they can demolish in another 4 is unthinkable!

23. This poll is inaccurate. If 84% say "won't vote for Dean", it's a 15% MoE
99% of nonDean supporters will vote for the nominee, no matter what. Clark might be 98% because he draws more independents and vets. But one you hear your candidate, whoever it is, attack Bush, there's virtually no chance you'd personally vote for the monkey-who-flies.

26. I agree. 80% is about what I was hoping for, counting 20% or so for
frustrated Dean supporters and others intentionally skewing the poll.

I mainly wanted to confirm my thought that most of us are Democrats first and that beating Bush is a primary goal, regardless of who the nominee is. Too many Dean supporters have been suggesting otherwise in the Dean-post-Iowa era.

I, too, have little doubt that once the dust settles and we have a nominee, everyone will realize that anything is better than another 4 years for Bush.

it says 84% would vote for Dean. I'm thinking it's probably much higher than that but it's been skewed by sullen Dean supporters who want to make it look bad.

25. Keep in mind
If Dean wins the nomination, more than likely there will be several states where there is simply no chance that Dean could win. Living in TN, it is quite possible that I will be facing the decision to either vote for a candidate I do not particularly like that I know can not win, or try and find someone else to vote for that I like (that also could not win). I will vote for Dean in a heartbeat if the race is competitive, but I am still unsure of what I will do if the things go the way I expect.

44. I'd vote for Dean but he damn well better have a very strong VP that's all
I have to say. AND also give a lot of power to the VP - like have him handle ALL foreign affairs.

Dean could do just find with the domestic end of it EXCEPT for the criminal justice end - no appointing judges for him...
