AARP Ad
Tom Hartmann said today and Sam Seder said yesterday that the ad claiming that the AARP was against the soldiers/military and for gay marriage did not explain how the AARP holds these stances. The reason there is no connection is that the people who made this ad do not want to explain the connection. They are hoping that people will see the pictures and turn against the AARP and support the Bush plan. They are hoping that people will not think.

2. We should show an ad
of a fish being gutted and the words "George Bush" superimposed

That way people will make the association and turn against Bush.

3. You got it!
They know their base is very pro-military and anti-gay so it was perfect. Who cares that it doesn't have anything to do with the issue? Just bring that out for whenever Bush has problems and his base will get pissed off and support their side. They're losing and aren't liking it. Having trouble there arentcha Bushie?

4. This ad is so ridiculous that I honestly have a hard time.........
believing that's it's real.

I'm not discounting those who have found and pointed it out nor saying that they aren't credible, but this ad is so nonsensical that I can't see how in the world the Swifties would think it would sway a single person....this lobbying group are not a bunch of idiots, evil yes, stupid no.

Who in their right mind would possibly believe that the AARP has at it's heart the dreaded 'Gay Agenda'? It's like saying the Klan's agenda was equality for African Americans.

Doesn't seem real.

5. They call AARP liberals
To them, calling someone a liberal is the same as saying they are antimilitary and pro gay marriage.

7. The implication, to me is, they are against Bush's agenda
which means they must be Liberal Democrats, since everyone who speaks the truth to this administration, and contradicts their agenda, is a Liberal Democrat. Remember when they cleared the CIA of all the "Liberal Democrats" ie the ones who'd been coughing up intelligence that did not support the administration? Same difference.

Soooo... if you're a selfish Liberal Democrat fighting against our glorious leader's wondrous agenda, you must be like all the other selfish Liberal Democrats who devalue our fighting men overseas, are attempting to destroy the institution of marriage and in general hate America.

It's the old "Be an American and support the President even if he doesn't know what the flying fuck he's doing" routine.

Next thing you know, there will be a bunch of bluehairs sitting around listening to the Dixie Chicks and dringing latte and reading the NYTimes. Those damn hippy bluehairs.
