Dean DNC statement today on Enron Style accounting....
All at once now: Enron Style accounting...
Then visit the DNC site and donate to show support for this guy. He and his wife are giving up a large part of their life so he can do this.

http://www.democrats.org/news/200502160003.html

Washington, DC – This afternoon, the Blue Dog Democrats coalition is holding a news conference on Capitol Hill calling attention to President George W. Bush's reckless fiscal policies and his failure to address a ballooning budget deficit.

In support of the Blue Dog Democrats, Governor Howard Dean, Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair, released the following statement:

"President Bush's budget has brought Enron-style accounting to our nation's capital. The $2.5 trillion budget introduced last week deliberately conceals the true cost of the President's fiscal irresponsibility. And, it doesn't even account for the war in Iraq or privatizing Social Security.

"We haven't seen a Republican president balance a budget in 40 years. Democratic governors do it every single year. More and more Americans are realizing that you can’t trust Washington Republicans with your money.

"Today, the Blue Dog Democrats are reminding the American people that Democrats are the Party of fiscal responsibility. I applaud the Blue Dogs and look forward to working with them in the future."

4. I haven't given to the DNC for a couple years
but in support of Dr. Dean and the fact that he is coming out swinging, just like we hoped he would the DNC is getting a nice donation from me today.

8. We starting donating again yesterday.
And signed up for the emails. The site is really livening up now. I am very proud of how he has never stopped fighting for the party even when he was down.

11. Me too
Donated Monday and submitted comments and for almost the first time in my life I feel like they will be read, cateloged and digested.

I then submitted another comment that I want the DNC page to introduce the bat. I think it would be cool to see how many people were donating this week and how much was being raised just because of Dean seat at the head of the party now.

18. I noticed that the site
has two new features. One for your own online community and website within the .org site. Very nice. I also sent a little note to show my support since I, personally, don't have any cash (just a college kid). :kick:

5. Good deal, Doc. I made that exact point in a LTTE over 2 yrs. ago.
Edited on Wed Feb-16-05 03:41 PM by blm
More of us have to write LTTEs and note that Bush is using the same deceptive accounting tricks that his friends at Enron used.

Keep Dean's analogy alive in the press.

14. The tea is in the harbor!!
I used to really enjoy being snarky to the DNC officials who used to call up asking for money.

Said they wouldn't get a dime from me until Dean was in charge. Before, I meant as president. But little did I know it would come to pass in a different way.

I'm definitely donating now. AND HOW. Have I mentioned lately how much I LOVE this man?
