WARNING!! Don't read this UNLESS you are ready for
our future..The part concerning FDR and Pearl harbor is fascinating.....BUT read what the neocons have in store for us.....if you have the stomach

quote.......

The Coming Israeli Attack on Iran, and its Consequences: Pearl Harbor Redux

Or, How George Bush will Institute the Military Draft, in spite of his campaign promises, and have the support of the American people for it: By provoking Iran to attack the USA first. And how this might destroy the world.

This is as far as the Neocon cabal in the Bush Administration has imagined. They expect this, and, like Roosevelt, are prepared to sacrifice 20,000 head (like cattle) of other people’s sons and daughters to justify an all-out war against the Arab world, to seize half the world’s oil supply for the future benefit of the USA and the oil companies who support the American political establishment, and to seize thousands of square miles of new territory for Israel.

They will be cut off from aid, unable to be resupplied with water, food, ammunition, or weapons, and unable to be evacuated. None of the Islamic countries bordering Iraq will allow the United States to use their territories to resupply or evacuate troops, after the unprovoked Israeli attack on Iran. America will suffer another 10,000-20,000 casualties in Iraq within two weeks. Within a month, expect up to 50,000 American dead.

Oil will cease to flow from Saudi Arabia, Bahrein, Kuwait, Iraq, the UAE, and Iran itself, almost half of the world’s supply. Oil will rise to $100 a barrel within three days, to $200 a barrel within a week, to $300 a barrel within two weeks. Oil at the pump will be $15 a gallon in the US, $30 a gallon in Europe. The economies of the world will begin to collapse under this burden. The cost to the US economy would easily be $2-5 trillion.

Only one thing could alter this scenario: America using the nuclear option against Iran. Whether George Bush, like a tormented and cornered animal, would use it is anyone’s guess, but the consequences are too horrible for us even to contemplate. May God save us from that eventuality. Hopefully, before it came to that, someone would have the good sense to clap him in handcuffs and remove him from the Oval Office.

1. Gee, thanks. I'll sleep well tonight.
Seriously, I haven't seemed to sleep as well for the past three months.

6. Thank You, My Friend
My attentions have lately been directed down towards the "September 11" forum, where there is good fun and cheap sport a-plenty to be had. A periodic fondness for low amusement is one of the many flaws of my character....

It is pleasure to see you as well. It looks like your candidate will become Party chairman after all, eh? Let us hope he does a damned good job of it!

8. Ah, that's what 'TBR' stands for, anti-semitic website like 'Truthseeker'
Thanks for the warning on that one. I once accidentally linked to a 'truthseeker' site that was cloaked with legit stories by Robert Fisk and John Pilger.

Upon looking past the front page, I found holocaust-denying stories lurking in the shadows. But not until someone screamed at me for being a racist. Ulp.

A database of poison websites to avoid would be useful.

9. It Would Indeed, My Friend
It is sad to see persons of left and progressive views and natures duped into raising the profiles of such poison toads, like song-birds caring for a cuckoo's fledgling....

17. I see they are also railing against the Neocons
Rather like Pat Buchannan, they can occasionally sound like they are on the same side we are re: the war, but upon closer examination you find that we are decidedly NOT on the same side. Or I would hope not, anyway.

How much of the neocon phenomenon is wrapped up in the security of Israel? Is that why Leibermann votes in their favor much of the time. Is that why the voices that sometimes cry out the loudest against neoconism also slip into anti-semitism when they point out how many pro-Israel folk are involved?

I'm just thinking we'd better be on guard for language from folks who sound like they agree, but turn out to be from a faction best kept at arm's length. Know what I mean?

Uh, I feel like I'm theorizing on such rudamentary knowledge. I hope I haven't offended anyone myself.

25. Tricky-anti-semitic OR anti-PNAC Zionist hawk? That's tough to discern...
Edited on Tue Feb-08-05 11:24 PM by JohnOneillsMemory
...sometimes.

I had to learn by mistaking them that there are vicious racists who are cloaking themselves in justified criticisms of both the PNAC and the policies of the state of Israel.

And leaders of the state of Israel sometimes take political advantage of the enormity of the Jewish Holocaust of WWII.

It gets trickier and trickier to figure out the players these days. There seems to be manipulation of our opinion everywhere we look.

Welcome to psy-ops info wars.

3. Gas at $15/gallon
Edited on Tue Feb-08-05 09:45 PM by tridim
Even the Freepers might call for Bush's removal. We already know they don't give a rats ass that American soldiers are dying. Of course by then it'll be too late, Bush will be untouchable.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm going to protest this new war very loudly. I feel bad that I didn't do the same for Iraq. I did protest, but not nearly enough.

5. That's one way to look at it.
That's a very pessimistic POV beginning to end. First thing that doesn't make sense is the US will seize thousands of square miles for Israel. What would Israel do with any part of Iran? What do they need it for? That just doesn't make sense.

The massive casualties in Iraq are possible if there is a national uprising. Short of that, it's unlikely. Then again, I think Iran would start lobbing missiles into Iraq. This would be a smart tactic on their part.

I don't buy this on the whole.

7. Possible alternative - oil will cease to flow here. Never understood
why the Arabs kept selling us oil as we kept messing up their neighbors so badly. Anyhow, they switch to Euros, the rest of the world dumps dollars, our oil goes to $100 or more, but the rest of the world has no problem because they are not tied to the dollar. Instant depression here. Instant stopping of economy. Instant balance of trade fixed. We won't be able to buy anything.

Yes, Bushco could go nuclear. Maybe America will wake up without oil and food. So there should be riots in Washington. If Bushco nukes the middle East, that is the end of oil. These guys are so dumb, stupid, and/or evil, I wouldn't put it past them

11. Doomsday Warnings...
don't get me worked up. Yes, the Bush Junta are a bunch of bungeling thieves but not entirely stupid or insane. Iraq and Afghanistan were allowed because they were and are managable countries to overthrow. The attack on Iran will not be allowed. The U.S. Oligarchy would arrange an accident for the Pres.,VP and and a few relevant players.

12. yea...
unfortunately, i wouldn't put it past the 'cons either. and i too am surprised as to why the arab nations actually sell oil to us...(arab nations aren't the only ones, i believe south/central america is a big source of oil to us) but it's frightening, the implications of a war with iran.

just bc that site may be "anti-semitic," doesn't mean that a war with iran isn't possible...and that a war with iran wouldn't have some of the same effects as described here.

i'm truely frightened, for the first time, about what might happen...

10. Don't Bet The Farm....
On anything The Boy King Idiot will or won't do!! He's so full of himself it's a wonder her can see the nose on his face!!

While I never use the word "hate", my sentiments on this person who calls himself a Christian and a President, border very close to the feeling. I keep thinking we'll all wake up and find it's all been a bad dream!

The only thing that keeps me fired up is the fact that I sincerely believe it will blow up in his face someday! NOTHING goes on FOREVER! I've always felt these things are cyclical! I can only hope my feeling is right! I been around the track once or twice, but NEVER have I seen the likes of what is happening to America today!

It's almost surreal!!

20. I tell ya', my "fight or flight" sense has been bristling of late.
If I was single and without kids, I'd be outta here so quick it'd make your head spin. I have 2 wonderful kids who I try not to worry too much about stuff like this (thought daughter is developing very sound political views :) ) and a hubby who thinks I'm a little on the "paranoid" side. He says "Let's just wait and see what happens". Yeah, right!

26. I've Been A Junkie Since I Was
about 12 years old. My kids are now grown but I have 3 grand-kids and I have felt the same "pull" to escape. But to where??

I thought about Australia for a while... have 2 emails friends I talk with, but one of them has told me about his political woes too! So what do you do???

I posted at another thread that I would like to hope that there will be SOMEONE who will appear on the scene and stop all this MADNESS!! It's a shame America seems to have lost it's integrity!

I know I'm not the only one who sees the incredulity of how so many MICROSCOPICALLY FOCUS on the ridiculous "small things" when you consider the overall scope of the plight of humanity. I thought maybe the Tsunami Relief would bring us closer to reality, but we're back to worrying about kids who wear "low riders!" Not that I enjoy looking at under ware, but for heavens sake... "It's a Fad!" It too will pass. And it was a Dem in the Virginia House who brought the bill up!! Hey my husband who is a bit older than I, actually had a pair of PINK dress pants with a black stripe running down the outside of each leg!! Shades of Fonzi!!!

My husband was much like yours, UNTIL this time around. Oh, he voted, I made sure, as I do with most who come in contact with me. But even he has begun to "holler" at the TV like I've done for years! These are VERY STRANGE times, and perhaps the cycle will turn the other way again. It has before. We can only HOPE!! Then keep repeating karma, karma, karma! Something I post a lot too!

23. How horrible
Edited on Tue Feb-08-05 11:14 PM by FreedomAngel82
Maybe this is the "shock and awe" thing that will turn people against Bush. From what I've read with PNAC they seem to love the military force and not much about bombs and whatnot. So disgusting. Especially they aren't sending any of their sons and daughters. And also with the oil prices going up with all the programs cutting for the poor it will be hard for the middle class and/or poor to buy gas to travel to work. What if they live in the middle of the country and it takes a while to get somewhere? Or your job or school is in the next county and you have to go over? I know I'm worried about it. :\ Especially all the death. Is this all for Israel? If they use military force then where will the troops come from? :\ Nobody wants to join....
