The hijacking threat lately?
I heard on AAR recently there was another hijacking threat. Anybody know about this? The delta flights landed at the Kennedy airport without any incidents in New York. Flight 119 from Paris and the passengers didn't have anything bad happen on there. And here I thought Bush was the one who could protect us eh? First the threat in Boston and now this?! :grr: Why don't people get outraged at stuff like this?!

(1010 WINS) (NEW YORK) Two inbound Delta Airline flights that reportedly had received separate threats landed without incident at John F. Kennedy International Airport Friday afternoon. Officials said the pilots were questioned and they reported no problems.

A spokesman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Steve Coleman, said that at about 12:45 p.m., his agency, which operates the airport, received a number of reports, subsequently found to be erroneous, from "various federal agencies."

He said the reports alleged first that there were seven "people of interest" on Delta Flight 119 from Bombay, India, via Paris, to New York. A follow-up report said only one "person of interest" was on the plane.

A third report -- also erroneous, Coleman said -- had the plane being escorted to Kennedy Airport by F16 fighters.

Also, there was some confusion, he said, about which flight was the subject of the perceived threat. Delta Flight 81 was due to land from Amsterdam at about the same time.

"The Port Authority took the necessary precautions and mobilized," Coleman said.

Port Authority and federal law enforcement agents questioned both pilots and determined "there was absolutely no problem on board either flight," Coleman said

2. Well you see Bush can only protect us from threats
that come out of Iran and Afganistan. So that doesn't include any threats that come out of Iran which is where I am sure the next incident will arise out of.
