Now the chickenhawk GOP politicians act as if noone respects military service more than they do.

Yeah, they do. That's why they skim billions of dollars that should have gone to the soldiers' protective armor for their weasel side dealings.

They intend to decimate the military till they reach the point they just "have" to completely privatize THAT, too.

Not ONE damn network news face will ever point out the truth. It takes a ton of purple band-aids to keep that truth covered up.

1. In a show of solidarity with soldiers
Bush - Cheney - Wolfowitz and the gang should begin each speech about war with a reiteration of their military record.

To a company which A) Never before even built one, and B)Is owned by foreign interests...while our folks go begging for the bare minimum body armor, THAT should tell us just how much they CAAAARE about our troops!:mad:

3. Some people were claiming that Bush, while in the TANG,
volunteerd to go to VietNam, earned a Distinguished Flying Cross, and graduated from Test Pilot School.

On the www.ibsys.com blog.

6. GOP has been beating on war heroes for years, but they love military corps
Edited on Wed Feb-02-05 11:47 PM by zulchzulu
Corps...or corpses. You decide.

For me, the best friend of the military is one that doesn't get them in wars that they didn't do enough research before they went to war. TYhe best supporter of the troops is one that doesn't force them into a politcal war hellbent on making osts of dough for the fellas.

Why blows my mind is seeing McCain pimping for the Chimp knowing all full well that Chimpy atacked his military record and even accused him of trading secrets to "the enemy". Additionally, McCain agrees with Chimpy on the war..all knowing that Bush and the Repugs always attck those that honorably served this country with lies and smears only a British turncoat could recite during the LAST American Revolution.

7. You got it right...GOP loves military corpses.
Especially when they make more money for their industrialist cronies.

8. Support the Troops- become one!
I'm enjoying repeating this. I am surprised it's not a bumper sticker yet.

9. and blaming the troops every chance they get
like Bush blaming the sailors for his "Mission Accomplished" embarrassment, and the scapegoating of the Abu Ghraib guards, and Giuliani blaming the troops for not guarding the weapons store in Iraq.

And I'm forgetting many others, Frank Rich recently wrote about this habit of theirs.

10. Yep. They would push a troop in front of a moving truck to keep from being
held to account for their own grave errors.

11. if no one respects military service more than Repub's do, then
why were our precious brothers and sisters in the military sent into harm's way for a war that was completely unjustified?

why couldn't Rummy actually sign the condolence letters sent to grieving families on the death of their family member in Iraq?;

Why couldn't Wolfowitz come within a mile of knowing how many US soldiers had been killed in Iraq one day when he was asked?

why couldn't they limit the length and number of the tours of duty served by GIs, Guards and Reservists?;

why couldn't they give soldiers and their families better benefits?;

why couldn't Bush et al attend even one military funeral?

why are soldiers and their families used as cheap props by Bush (e.g. the "Mission Accomplished" photo shoot; last night's use of the grieving parents at the SOTU address;

why couldn't they keep billions of US tax dollars from being siphoned off to corrupt profiteers?

and a million other why's.

12. We are SUPPOSED to have a free press to ask those questions.
But, we don't. We have corporate media appointed stenographers.
