Exclusive! Senator John Kerry, D-MA (Meet the press Sunday)
In his first television interview since the presidential election, Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) will appear live on "Meet the Press with Tim Russert" for the full hour this Sunday, January 30, 2005.

The exclusive interview will cover a wide range of topics including the day's historic elections in Iraq, the senator's own trip to the region, his view on Bush's second term agenda, and his plans for his political future.

Sen. Kerry's last "Meet the Press" appearance on April 18, 2004, came thirty-three years after his very first appearance on the program as a spokesman for Vietnam Veterans Against the War. Earlier in the campaign cycle, Sen. Kerry announced his intentions to run for the Presidential nomination on "Meet the Press" on December 1, 2002.

Tim Russert is the moderator of "Meet the Press." Betsy Fischer is the executive producer. Erin Fogarty and Michelle Jaconi are producers.

1. I'll be watching
I hope that Kerry will say in unclear language that anybody who wins an election 50-48 percent doesn't have a "mandate" and that 59 million plus people voted for him gives him great credibility.

2. I'm sure he'll do fine
One thing he does well, better I think, than Al Gore, is interview and debate.

dipshit Sludge had this up like he had a scoop or something. They have been advertising this since Russert said it at the end of Sunday's show.

Oh, well, the more people that know, the better, I guess.

4. Phew!
I hope he does better on this one than he did the one in Newsweek last month. It was pathetic. Painful to read.

5. Let us write Senator Kerry...
and tell him not to pull any punches at all regarding the Rethugs and their thuggery.

Here's the missive I am sending him:

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Senator Kerry,

I hear that you are to appear on Meet the Press this Sunday. Please, please, do not soften your language when you characterize any of the Republican doings -- and please do not shy away from doing it at all.

Remember the open mike incident? That is the kind of honest talk we expect from you, and, by the unprecedent unity displayed, that we have earned from our (Democratic) representatives.

Thank you.

6. All I want to hear is.....
a clear concise reason for conceding so fast after having just told the american people that he would fight for every vote and every vote would be counted.

anything else he has to say is just moot.
