First Kerry (child bill), then Boxer (Condi), then Kerry again (Rummy), then Reid (the whole agenda), and now our illustrious DNC chair (no to the race and gender distinctions in Soc. Sec.)

Overboard, or a good thing. Vat jew think?

How long as Terry McCauliffe been DNC chair? I know its only 4 years, but somehow it just seems longer than that. He's just always persistently THERE! Errrrghh!

it amplifies their voice. It shows that people care and it's not just some lone nutcase Senator tilting at windmills.

There are other more cynical reasons as well, it is a good way to build mailing lists, as well as identify the activists who are already on your list, guage support for issues, etc... all laudable goals, really.

Every time I see McAuliffe's name, my blood pressure goes up. I've felt that way about him for a while before the election too. He's always brought to mind the old snake oil salesman to me. Just would like a simple statement of problems and some input sought other than "Sign you name" and "please send money".
