Bush DOES have a mandate.....
I was talking with my girlfriend and we were saying that Bush does have a mandate because the Democratic representation are spineless and they will rollover to any of Bush's wishes. Compound that with the 51% electorate and Bush has a clear mandate to do whatever he damn well pleases.

We have bright stars like Barbara Boxer and John Kerry, but where are the rest?

2. Bush has a mandate because he is president.
That is as far as it goes.

3. A mandate is not the same as squeaking by with a slim majority

accomplished through voter suppression and questionably programmed machines counting what cannot be verified.

He does NOT have a mandate. He has a band of thugs enforcing a coup

edit: typo

5. Yeah, and our representation fought "tooth and nail" over that one.
Just being sarcastic.

See? Clear Mandate.

4. essentially you are correct
that is why it is more important to vote the repug lite democrats out, and get people in that actually represent democratic principles

7. As individuals we are not powerless.
The right has been touting Martin Luther King this year as though he's their chosen son without realizing or acknowledging his legacy of respectful civil disobedience.

8. We are powerful we just don't know how to use.
We choose our representation. We have chosen either not to vote, or choose a as someone put eloquently 'republican lite'.
