Let me get this straight....
I know this has been talked about before I am sure but I guess I just wanted to comment on it.

911 happened 9 months into Bush's presidency but Clinton was to blame cause Bush was not in office long enough.

The February 26th bombing in 1993 was blamed on Clinton too.

I do not follow this logic.

Clinton arrested the ones responsible for the first bombing yet he gets blamed for both.

I like Mike Malloy have to say now and then....

Have I told you yet today how much I hate these people.

1. Don't forget Somalia
That happened a week or two after Clinton took office, involved a military campaign that Poppy Bush had initiated after he was not reelected, and involved the deaths of a much smaller number of Americans than a typical week in Iraq.

Yet it was "all Clinton's fault."

And I haven't forgotten the American Marines killed in Beirut during Reagan's term. No Americans died during the Iranian hostage crisis under Carter, but somehow Carter's term was a disaster and Reagan's was the Golden Age.

Manufactured news. Packaging. Spin. LIES.

17. you have your dates wrong
our mishap in somalia happened on 4 oct 1993. A big part of the reason Clinton got quite a bit of the blame is .... Task Force Ranger requsted light armor support in april, this support was approved all the way up the chain of command in the pentagon, it was denied final approval by the white house.

I agree that tasking came from the previous adminstration; but the request for armored vehicles was denied by the clinton white house.

Also, regarding the Iran Hostage crisis, there was a rescue attempt conducted on 24 apr 1980, it failed and 5 lives were lost.

3. Here's your problem
You said: "I do not follow this logic."

You are looking for logic where you should have learned by now not to expect any. Republican spinmeisters decided long ago that the trick is not to tell the truth in a good light, the trick instead is to make up your own truth and look sincere repeating it as many times as you possibly can.

It works just like advertising does. And the American Voter's mind is certainly well trained to accept advertising. Remember this one? "Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun." That is of course an old jingle describing a Big Mac. I guarantee you that McD's could take the pickles off altogether and 70% of us would swear they were still there. It's like the "hook" in a pop song. If you repeat it often enough, get it stuck in people's heads, their brains will repeat it back to them whenever triggered.

Loathesome aint it?

4. More.
Clinton made it through 7 more years of office without another attack on US soil, and that was just dumb luck.

While Bush has only gotten through 3 more years without another attack on US soil (so far) and he's the second coming of christ for having saved us from the terrorist threat.

6. Bush Knew!!!
9/11 Was a Hoax

The American Government Killed its Own People

Opposed by everyone in the world who was not bought off, the illegal invasion of Iraq was undertaken for many reasons — the imminent replacement of the dollar by the euro as the world's primary currency, the tempting lure of untapped oil reserves, the desire to consolidate U.S./Israeli military hegemony over a strategically vital region — but the most important reason was to further obscure questions about the awesome deception staged by the American government that has come to be known as 9/11........

7. Yes, it was like 38 days into...
his presidency, and he did not blame bush Sr. Though, one could really easily point out that he dropped the ball, and failed to provide Clinton with any intelligence.

8. Don't forget the "microeconomic" canard
when they tell you that Clinton's success was due to the policies that Reagan put in because "everything runs on a 10-15 year cycle," but the uptick during Reagan's tenure was actually due to...Reagan.

10. Everything is always his fault. Raining today? Clinton's fault.
Your lover doesn't love you anymore?

Clinton was probably in on that too.

Doesn't need to make sense. They disliked him from the beginning with no rhyme or reason.

16. But it's a pity that Security briefing was apparently ignored....
You know, the one in August 2001 about Bin Ladin possibly hijacking planes & crashing them into buildings.

But if 9/11 hadn't happened, Bush would have nothing to run on.
