MEME: "Regressives" NOT "Conservatives"...

If there ever were a phrase that was worthy of using the over-used "meme" term, this is it.

Don't ever again say "Conservatives". There is nothing conservative about their ideology. Only speak of "Regressives" and "Throwback Conservatives (like John McCain)".

1. Good one, but I also liked the following...

"Red Ink" Republicans and "Credit card" conservatives.

And at work, I called all those who voted for Bush "moral cowards" if they didn't immediately sign up to join the Armed Forces and demand to be sent to fight in Iraq. I told them that recruitment was at an all time low for the Armed Services and since the approved of Bush's pre-emptive war, they had a moral obligation to join and become cannon fodder in Bush's wars. This argument caught them by surprised and some had stunned faces when I said this to them.

5. Better yet: reactionaries

I'd even say counter-revolutionaries, where the revolution in question is the American one, but "counter-revolutionary" has probably become associated with the Soviet era in most minds.

6. Regressives....

...That term was in my mind as I tossed and turned at 330 am thinking about how far in the toliet we are going to go before people wake up...I agree with the original post, we should use this term from now on. I am very glad there are others out there that think like I do!
