Instead of picking future love/hate 2008 candidates while
we are all really raw, searingly angry, and embarrasingly horrified at was has befallen us and the Democratic Party/Progressive Movement, why not pick what WE stand for first! Choose what is important to US that WE want to see in future platforms (2006, 2008). Then we can build decision matrixes around whether candidates fit the model WE WANT. It won't be about what they are selling to us - we have seen how that ends.

Some instant things that have my hair on fire:

Domestic and economic policies that protect ALL of the people, the environment and education.
Corporate welfare reform
Media reform and the public interest

I KNOW some of you could articulate this better. But let's start with what WE want in a platform and then tell the Democratic Party: Choose or Lose!
