Bush has told the world to Fuck-off. Yesterday, he was joined by the American people who added their Fuck-off to the rest of the world as well.

It is time for grass roots action from abroad. Pass, the McDonalds, pass Coca-Cola, when it says made in America, you must tell Americans back Fuck-off. I am American, and it makes me sad to say this.

When American corporations begin to understand the message being told them by foreigner, the American government will begin to listen to the concerns of the world, global warming, justice for Palestinians, and justice issues generally.

If you, all foreigners, are now not redy to begin moving: boycott America. Speak back to America. They have loudly told you to fuck off. It is your time to tell America go fuck themselves back.

Let's face it, you and I don't run the world. Labor unions don't run the world. Down where the short hairs grow, even President Bush doesn't run the world (although he is sure trying to fix that).

Who does run the world? Businesses. If it wasn't for corporations giving Republicans in general and BushCo in particular their green, George W. would be selling used cars. And the reason those organizations give W. our hard-stolen money is that he keeps the door propped open so they can stick their hand in and pick our pockets some more.

Our ONLY chance of being rid of W is driving these vultures off.

Our ONLY chance of driving the corporate vultures off is to make it hurt for them, financially. It's the only language they understand.

Will it hurt us? Of course. It's our fucking country, and even if we didn't screw it up it's screwed up, and we're gonna pay for that. That's how it works under international laws our own ancestors wrote back when they were the winners of the previous war. In many ways that's just how it works, period. When the tide turns the invaders don't weigh your contribution to the resistance in a court of law; they kill us all and let God sort us out. One of us wrote that little ditty, too.

My advice to foreigners would definitely be not to buy American. As an American, my advice to my fellow countrymen would be to stop spending money. Learn to live frugally. Dumpster-dive. You can live surprisingly well on a few dollars a day and the garbage our society readily discards, and you'll be helping the environment by recycling.

In any case we are in for a long hard winter of hardship in more ways than one, and frugal habits can be survival traits when the going gets that hard.

8. We may have the mightyest military in the world, but our economy

is punky. The rest of the world will respect the military might, but there are other ways to send us a signal. Watch foreign investments in this country over the next few years....it's going to dry up and we'll be seeing our USD value plummet. Since we are now a post-industrial economy, the net result will be a drop in our standard of living.

I was checking it out last night and they seem pretty much in tune with DU. I lived in London for a year and loved The Guardian, and the British are so much better educated, and very funny. Check it out.
